Ellie groaned as she slumped onto the desk. Archer was right; she concluded as the memories flooded her mind with the force of a tsunami. She knew she shouldn't have touched the darn beer at all.
"What's going on?" Tori poked her side.
"I'm ruined. I've done something stupid." Ellie lamented.
"What?"
"I sang in front of the kingx."
"What!" Tori gasped, "How could you?"
"I think it's about time you let somebody hear your awesome voice." Amy nodded and Ellie blushed.
"But, she wouldn't even sing in front of us; her best friends. The first time we heard her was by accident! You hide a lot of things from us." Tori pouted.
'They have no idea,' she felt guilty keeping such secrets from her friends.
"It isn't what you think..." Ellie valiantly tried to defend herself. "They tricked and dragged me to their mini party. I ended up singing for them in my drunken state."
"Hell no! You're like a totally different person when you're drunk. All your shyness just goes down the drain." Tori shook her head, "At least you don't try to build a boat claiming you're Dora the explorer like that one time."
"Noo." Ellie cringed in remembrance of that fiasco."Don't remind me."
"How about the time you searched for dragon scales at one in the morning, saying you're going to Dragon land?" Her friends laughed and Ellie slumped further down her seat as she was unwillingly reminded of her past drunken debacles.
"So what's so bad about singing?" Amy shrugged.
"I sang nursery rhymes." Ellie muttered.
The girls momentarily gaped at her, before collapsing into fits of laughter.
"Stop it, guys." Ellie whined as she blushed again.
"Sh*t, I should've known. Only you would do such things."
"I can't face Archer anymore, not after what I did to him. I think I was molesting him!"
"Tell us all about it." Tori said excitedly.
PREVIOUS NIGHT;
Her head was literally spinning. Shit, she was getting drunker with each passing moment. James was talking about some fight again.
"Why did you guys fight?"
"For fun, plus the money's good."
"Really? But I thought you guys were like loaded why would you want the money."
"Rumors darlin'. They paint extravagant pictures of us based on their own fantasies; Hot rich guys." He winked at her as he spoke cockily. "Yeah, we really got no problems with money but we all aren't that loaded. Besides, who doesn't want extras?" He shrugged.
"You're right." She nodded in agreement.
"Come on, Ellie. Sing for us." The twins wouldn't give up.
'They were very persistent. Like their 'leader',' Ellie dryly observed.
She was drunk so she'd probably forget it by morning wouldn't she? So why not do it? But, she wasn't foolish enough to 'really' sing for them. Maybe she'd sing a song that wouldn't expose her vocals much.
"Okay." Ellie nodded agreeably and stood up. She walked to the table and climbed on it as the twins and James began clapping loudly while Archer merely smiled in amusement. She grabbed the empty bottle and used it as a mike and started.
