EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER. It took place for a week. It was pretty tiring. Ellie managed to sleep 8 hours every night though, since she only needs revision. She never gets nervous about exams, making Tori and Amy playfully tease her about having some alien brain. She only laughed. She had prepared before so there wasn't any reason for her to be nervous.
Two days had already passed since the last day of examination, the girls basketball starts practicing hard right after the next day as they made it to the finals. Ellie had just come home from visiting the girls, watch them play for a while, and bring Tori healthy food to eat.
She decided to sleep early. She fell asleep right away as her head hit her pillow.
"ELLIE? YOU AWAKE?"
"Mfsjsl," Ellie mumbled, making Archer chuckled.
"Sorry to do this but I have to."
She felt herself being lifted up into strong arms. Archer's.
"Archer.." she moaned, "It's still dark outside."
"It's 2 am actually."
"What? You're crazy."
She felt his step and movement but she didn't feel like opening her eyes. She even felt the temperature change in the air.
"Where are you taking me..."
"Shh..sleep"
And she did. Which was crazy. Sleeping in his arms.
Ellie yawned and stretched. She realized that she was sitting on a moving vehicle. She opened her eyes to realize it was Archer's car.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere"
"That's not an answer."
"You asked and I chose not to answer."
She was quiet for awhile, "Archer, if you're thinking of something crazy..."
He smiled, "No. Stop that thought. I'm not taking you out in the woods to murder you and bury your body."
"That's not even.." she trailed off because that's exactly what she thought. Again.
"We're here," Archer said and pulled by the roadside. Ellie looked around. They were in the middle of... nowhere. She didn't recognize the place. The road was deserted and the sound of owls hooting could be heard from the forest on the left side of the road. The sounds of waves, on the right side of the road, beneath the cliff could be heard too. It was strangely peaceful.
Archer pulled the side of her door and motioned her to get out. She did and he held her hands and led her towards the front of his car.
He suddenly turned and lifted her by her waist to the hood of his car making her squeal in surprise. He climbed up beside her, enclosed his arms around her waist, and scooted her back until both of them leaned against the front glass.
She was about to ask him what they were doing, but was interrupted when he answered her as if reading her mind.
"Look up," he said, pointing to the sky above with his left hand. She did as he asked. She gasped in amazement.
The crescent moon was bright with two bright stars aligned with the moon.
"What a rare sight!"
"It's the Jupiter and Venus aligning with the moon. You will only get to see this again probably after 30 years."
"It's so wonderful. I'm lucky that I get to see this," she smiled widely.
"Are...you happy?" he asked hesitatingly.
"Of course! I'm pleased."
Ellie's head snapped to Archer when she heard him laughed out loud. Delightfully. The deep sound and the sight of him was so beautiful.
"That's great!" he says in relief, making Ellie blink. What had triggered that delightful laughter? Was it her last comment? Is he happy because she was pleased?
"I knew you would like it," he finally looks at her.
"I love it," she corrects him, "That's why you brought me here?"
He nods. He did this to make her happy. There he goes again. Making her heart melt like a puddle, making her heart pound, and making her fall harder every minute.
"Thank you, Archer," she smiled at him. He studied her again with those intense eyes of his.
Then, he leaned down and softly brushed his lips against hers, coaxing hers to open. Ellie loved the way he made her dizzy with just a kiss, the way he made her shivered when his fingers played with the hem of her shirt, the way his arms tightened around her when he explored her mouth as if he couldn't get enough of her. His other hand cupped the back of her neck and kissed her harder. She didn't need to kiss other guys to know he's experienced.
Ellie decided to forget the plan again and feel this. She copied his movement and slowly licked his tongue back making him growl which in turn made her tummy clench. Her heart greedily warms up, knowing the effect she had on him. She prayed to God to help her keep her secret for a while. Just a little longer. Enough time for her to stop this feeling by getting enough of him. Her inner voice told her that there's never getting enough of Archer McCarty.
ELLIE LOOKED at her reflection in a full sized mirror, hoping she looked okay. She really needed to look okay since she was going to meet the Frost face to face. She wore one of the red dresses her mom had bought her and she wore black heels. It's been a while she wore them but it made her feel more like a woman. She giggled at that thought.
"You ready, honey?" her mom asked her from downstairs.
"Coming," she shouts back.
Just as she turned towards the door, she felt hands resting on either side of her hip making her yelp.
"Archer!" she scolds, "Stop doing that!"
He leaned down and nuzzle the back of her neck and growl softly against it making her shiver. She turned to face him.
"I'll be having a hard time thinking of all the d/<kheads who'll oogle you" he stared at her neck.
Ellie realized what he was thinking, she couldn't believe it.
"No" she said firmly, "No marks"
"No?"
"No. You are crazy. Besides they'll be no d-heads"
"Great. Family dinner?"
"Kind of. We're invited for dinner by the Frost, Archer. The Frost!" she smiled up at him but soon fades when she saw him still.
"Archer?" she placed her hands on his chest.
Then, he looked down at her with blank expression, "Stay" his mood totally change.
"What are you talking about" she frowned.
"Don't go" he stepped closer to her making her took steps back for some reason.
"You're confusing me" her back hit the wall then he crowded her space.
"Stay" He eyes were now filled with mixture of rage and most obvious of it was the desperation in them. He truly don't want her to go. But, why? He don't want her to see Lucy? But what exactly was she to Archer.
"What's wrong with them, Archer"
He hesitated for a moment "They can't be trusted. They'll hurt you"
"Don't be silly. My parents will be there besides the Frost's are nice people. Those who have come across them always says that"
He moved in much closer leaving no space between them while shaking his head. She pushed against his chest, "Move"
"Please" he pleads.
"Archer, I have to go. I'm sorry. You can come by later to see for yourself that I'm okay. Deal?" he only frowned down at her with his jaws and fist clench.
She sighed heavily and walked towards the door, without looking back at him and says, "I'll text you"
If she look back, she know she'll stay. She didn't like the crazed look in his eyes. She wants to hold him like other nights, stroking his hair and calm him. But, this was important to her parents and can't just backed out. So, she had to fight every instincts to ran back into her room and into his arms. Maybe, she'll find out why Archer doesn't want her to meet them.XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
An: Hey guys, I know that you guys had been questioning about the color of Archer's eyes. I just assume that it didn't matter, but I had answer one of the readers about it so I want to inform you guys about it too.
5 year old Ellie descibe Archer's eyes as red. When she said red, it doesn't mean bright red ones like what supernatural creatures possess. It's something like Carmine. 5 yr old probably doesn't know Carmine^^
You know, particular brown eyes(maybe light ones) sometimes look something CLOSE TO red/carmine. Especially under lights. And it's beautiful too. Archer have them. That's what Ellie means. In other words, Ellie doesn't literally mean RED.
Hope what I'm saying make sense lol.And have you guys seen the moon aligned with the Jupiter and Venus too? Bet some of you have. It happened years ago.^^
My story now gets million reads. NEVER expect this. Initially, I thought only 100+ would read it and I was happy enough with that thought. Thank you guys for the read^^
