"You actually have to walk to get there, you know" making her realized that she just stood there while he's making gesture for her to follow him,

"Or is it my sexiness that dazzles you into that state" he smirks cockily making Ellie groaned then laughed.

"Let's just go" she said with a smile.

He sure was sexy but that didn't distract her. Only her man's sexiness distracts her.

Wait, her man?

"Wait, that's it? Can't you at least say that 'You're right' or 'Even sexier that Gabriel?" He frowned.

"You are identical twins, remember?" She exclaimed as they walked together. He sighed. "It's a burden enough that you get to see one hot face like mine but two of me? That's pretty hard for ladies to handle." This made her laugh once again at his cockiness. She would have frowned if this was coming from other guys' mouth but she was used to the playful twins and their cockiness.

As they entered the arena once again, the noise surrounded them. Ellie noticed from her peripheral vision that he was studying her with a smile. She realized that he did that on purpose to make her laugh. She silently thanked him even if he didn't know why. She was worried enough for Archer but this cheered her up a little. Maybe Patrick could tell from her earlier expression that she was worried.

She felt his gaze before she saw him. She looked up just in time to see Archer striding towards them, his eyes roaming over her before they slid to Patrick and narrowed on him.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her tight against his body in such a way that Ellie could feel his strong heartbeat under her palms.

"You okay?" She realized he was asking her.

"I didn't do anything, man." She also heard Patrick said this defensively. Ellie could tell from his tone that he was smiling.

"I'm okay. Patrick found me and told me that you were searching for me." Ellie assured him and only then he seemed to relax.

He pulled away only to grab her hand and lead her towards the back.

"1O minutes before the next fight!" Patrick shouted after them. Archer obviously didn't care though.

Unexpectedly, he stopped in the deserted corridor, obviously where they could talk. He turned around and leaned against the wall. He pulled her close and simply bended to rest his forehead against her.

"Archer, you know that he's not a threat."

He kissed her lips, quick and hard before saying. "Yeah."

"But..."

"It just took me off guard, okay? It just...happened."

She nodded as they stared into each other's eyes. She thought it was a great time to tell him about the message.

"Before Patrick spotted me, there's this guy who talked to me."

His body stilled, totally for a different reason. It was the vibe she had gotten when he was ready for a fight.

"He said that I should tell you to forfeit or else...I don't know. He left it at that."

Archer closed his eyes for a brief moment. "No worries. Are you sure the guy didn't hurt you in any way?"
