Ellie's friends couldn't stop laughing at her as she finished her eventful tale.

"You ask him to sleep with you!"

"You're so mean! Don't put it that way. It sounds bad. I've been avoiding him." She groaned. "Luckily, he's absent today." She still hadn't told them about the kiss though.

"Do you know why?"

"No. Not really." Ellie shrugged.

"This happens quite often. You should probably ask him why."

"Yeah." she said softly. Truthfully, she knew she wouldn't ever have the nerve to ask him that. He didn't really reveal anything concerning him. Maybe she could ask his friends about it.

"He's probably at the gym right now." James says. Ellie noticed that he didn't mention why Archer was absent in the first place; he had only told her about his present location.

"I see. He liked it very much, right? He goes there every day after school." Ellie tried probing for more information.

"Yeah. He's training." James shrugged.

"For what?"

"There's a local competition coming up; great chance to enter State level."

"I see." Ellie had no idea what James was talking about but nodded anyway for the sake of politeness. It must be important for Archer. He'd never mentioned it. That another sign that indicates they weren't close yet. They didn't talk about 'things'. They just sat silently cuddling whenever they were together. If things continuedin the path they were currently going down; how would she ever help Isaac? Will Archer ever open up to her anyway? Or did he just like to keep things to himself?Ellie really needed to be brave and take a step; now was probably a good chance.

"Um...are you by any chance going there too?" She asked hesitantly.

"Yeah."

"Wi-will you let me go with you? I'd like to see him doing something he likes." That was kind of true. She wanted to see what interested him so much; maybe it could be a chance to get to know him better and then get closer to him.

"I'm not sure if..." James trailed off. "Never mind, come on. We'll take my car." He relented.

Guiding her over to his car, he helped her into it before seating himself. Within moments, they were on their way. She tried to think of something to say that would fill in the silence in the car as James drove her to Archer's location. "Are the twins and Kane there too?"

"No. They're at Kane's club." He shook his head."Probably to meet sweet butts."

"Oh." She had no clue whatsoeverwhat a 'sweet butt' meant.

He chuckled, "You don't know what I'm talking about; do you? It's better that way. Kane's MC is no place for girls like you." Now that statement had made her more curious.

Exactly what kind of girl is she?

"Here we are." James announced and parked the car in front of a familiar looking building. Ellie knew this place. This was the place where she first watched Archer fight.

Was he fighting again and hiding it from her by saying he went to gym?

"Um...James, isn't this the place where they held fights?" She asked as they walked away from the car.
