Hush Hush-Joshaya

Part 3

Maya sat in the chair opposite the well dressed man.They had been talking for over an hour and were now waiting for Kermit to arrive to discuss in more detail what could happen with Maya.Josh was also with her as Maya was too afraid to go into the meeting alone so he willingly went in with her.
"Are you sure you wanna do this Maya?"
Josh looked over at Maya who was trying to stop her knees from bouncing uncontrollably up and down.Before she could give an answer Kermitt entered and walked over to Maya's side.
"You must be Maya's father,I am Harvey Leonard one of the record labels representatives and I would like to sign your daughter to our record label."
Harvey held out his hand for Kermit to shake but was ignored by Kermit.
"My daughter is in no way going to join your record label. She is too young and she is not going to become an ego maniac because of teenage fame.Now Maya I demand that you get outside and into my car right now before I ground you for not telling me where you were going."
Maya stared in shock at her father.
"No."
Kermit looked over at Maya with eyes of fire.
"What the hell did you just say to me?"
"I said no.I want to join this record label and I want to try to sing for a living and this record label wants me to relocate back to New York and I want to go back and see my friends and there is nothing you can do about it if I tell my mom.So no."
"GET IN THE CAR RIGHT NOW YOU SPOILED LITTLE BITCH!"
Kermitt strode over to where Maya was now stood and grabbed her by the collar of her shirt.
"Hey get off of her now!"
Josh jumped up infront of Kermitt and tried to push him off of Maya but failed and ended up being knocked to the floor from a punch to the face by Kermitt.
"Oh my god.Josh are you okay?"
Maya knelt down beside him and checked to see if he still had a pulse.
"What have you done.I hate you so much!Can someone please call security and get him out of here."
Maya watched as Kermit was escorted out of the room.
"How would you like us to help miss Hart?"
Harvey came to Maya's side and handed her an ice pack to put on Josh's face.
"I want my mom."

1 week later...
Maya stepped out of the car and looked around at her surroundings.The last time she had seen this street was the day she left everyone behind and started her new life.Almost a year and a half later she was back again,to a place she vowed to never return to.
"Baby girl.I have missed you so much.I am so sorry I couldn't come down and get you myself but atleast you had Shawn."
Katy pulled Maya into a tight embrace that lasted a few minutes.
"You are never allowed to leave me ever again ok?"
Katy whispered into Maya's shoulder as Maya just smiled at her mothers closeness.
"Don't worry mom I'm never gonna leave you now.Thanks for wanting me back and for signing the music label documents and ....and for not telling Riley and all them that I am back."
Katy just nodded as she led Maya into the apartment whilst Shawn brought in all of the bags.

"So you have today to get relaxed and back at home and then tommorow you have a meeting at your new record label and then honey you have to go to school.You sure you don't wanna pre warn Riley and the gang that you are back,it might shock them a little and they might have found someone new."
Maya felt her heart skip a beat at the thought of her being replaced.She had worried about that when she first left but it faded when she met new people at her high school.
Maybe she had made the wrong decision moving back to New York.

What will happen if they are mad at her for leaving without saying goodbye?

So kind of a long chapter but it is only 700 words and I don't think that is a LOT but whatever.
