Part 27

Maya walked down from where she had just sung the song she had written to Aubrey's casket.Her face blank as well as her thoughts.The funeral was a beautiful celebration fo everything that Aubrey ever was.Her parents made sure everyone called it a celebration because they knew that it was Aubrey's time to leave and become an angel.Maya had insisted she do it all alone without the aid of Katy or Shawn.She didn't want them to see her breaking down over a girl they didn't know.She wanted them to see her as a completely new girl.One who composed herself properly and would never even think about entering a bar and getting drunk.Maya was pleased with progress she had made with herself.She knew that she was considered a success story but Maya also knew that if it wasn't for Aubrey and Katy them she would never be alive right now.

Maya looked back into her room once more before taking her suitcase and walking down the familiar hallway.She found it funny looking back to five months ago,when she didn't even know herself because she was too drunk to care.Then she looked back at what she was like a year ago.She was happy with herself,she seemed to have everything but the thing she lacked was her true self.The old Maya,even the one before drunken Maya came to the party,was broken and didn't have confidence in herself.
The true Maya that was there today had all of those things,sure she didn't know how everyone was going to react and she also didn't have a clue what would have changed in the time she was away but Maya knew she arrived a mess and was leaving a mature adult.

Going to rehab was the best thing Maya had ever done.She learned to never keep quiet about something she felt was important.

No more Hush Hush.

A lot more of Speaking Up.

Goodbye book 1 Ola book 2.So this is the end of Maya's journey through the early stages of love,friendship,stardom and ofcourse rehab.
I kinda hinted what the next book will be called at the end.
It is called 'Speaking Up' and it has a time skip from Maya leaving rehab.
You will find out what happened during the first few years after rehab as well as seeing who Maya has become.The time skip will be 3-4 years later.
Hope you will read the next book and also thankyou for sticking with me through the weird obstacles I have put into this book. It will be out very soon.Probably as a christmas present for you all or maybe a new year gift.Who knows?Love you all very much.
