He stared out his window, seeing her play brought him so much joy. This was his motivation for stepping down. This is what he wants. Her life was now more important than his. Her mother left. In the night, she disappeared and never returned. He thought that someday that his wife would return, and provide his daughter with the love that he so desperately could not survive for her. He wanted this to change.
He tried, for years he tried. Wax, paper and ink wasted trying to contact her. It became a methodical process.
Name.
Date.
Loving, meaningful message.
Signature.
Wax seal.
Envelope.
Over and over again he tried. And he vowed this letter to be his last. An hour past. A three-page plea for forgiveness and hope was hopelessly scrawled in his hand writing, that could have never been considered to be written by a king. All for a woman that would never return to that privileged life.He called Kurt to his study. Kurt bowed and listened to his Kings request. "Kurt, I wish for you to mail this letter, you must vow to never read the name printed on the front" demanded Guude. Kurt nodded and made his way out of the palace to the mail office. This was Guude's last chance to make amends.
