Chad's Gift

The last day of rest before the second challenge was upon the participants. Some were outdoors training, others calming letting the day pass. Some however were called to an audience with the king. The current three place holders were called after breakfast to the Kings study, and to bring their gifts.
The three waited patiently for admittance into the chamber and greet their potential predecessor. Two men with boxes in hand, the other with a cat. The king was amused by this action. He asked the three men who gave them their gifts.
"A supposed lover" replied Seth
"You, sire" answered Sevadus
Chad stood proudly and didn't dare question if there was something for him. He just stroked Cella, who was meowing for Waffles, her partner in crime.

The king never denied for confirmed that the gifts were from who they say they were. But he did know.
Guude asked Seth and Sevadus to leave the room, thanking them for their honesty. He then asked Chad to let Cella go out the door and sit at his desk. He asked Chad why he thought that he had no gift.
"I don't have any special gift I practise, or a real hobby" Chad said sounding upset.
"But you do, Chad, you don't see it yet" reassured Guude.
"So you can see it?" Chad questioned in delight. The king nodded and a smile appeared on Chad face. Nebris was not needed to find Chad's gift. It was right in front of him.
Guude did however present Chad with a gift. "A novelty item for a novelty man" chuckled Guude. Chad entertained kids after school and was a hit because of his red hair. So he opened a small box, and inside were two small wigs, made to be just like his, but for his cats. "Now it's a three man show!" Cried the king, as if at a comedy show.

Chad laughed, thanked the king and left the study, but somehow deeply saddened by his gift and inability to figure out his own talent.
