The walls were lined with archers.
Scouts dotted the tree line, watching the portal.
Mines planted under mounds of grass, primed and ready.
Soldiers prepared to die for their families, their town and their king.

Sevadus told of the end.
Seth reassured others that all will be well.
Chad hid his cats in a safe place. In case he never returned.
Everything checked out.
All they had to de was wait.

The challengers had become soldiers. They dotted the front line defences. Some his in trees with bows. Prepared to shoot anything that moved. Chad was never good at fighting in large groups, so he was told to evacuate the kingdom and relocate to a safer place. He guided the townsfolk leagues outside the walls and hid inside a vacant desert temple. People brought only what they needed, food, water, clothes, blankets, toys, literature and weapons.

Night fell.
The war on Mindcrack had begun.
Screams could be heard far and wide.
No help came.

Pigmen flocked through the streets for survivors. Brave men stayed to defend their homes, but were cut down mercilessly by mindless clones. Ghasts littered the skyline and spew fireballs, burning trees and houses for hours. Ziestau and Vechs headed immediately for the palace. Only to be stopped by the remaining guards and the challengers, along with Baj and Jeff.
Guude prepared his weaponry and armour for himself to defend his kingdom to the very end. All the while he watched silently from a window to observe his men.

The challengers stood proudly, determined to never let anything through. Bows pointed, swords drawn, armour tightened. These men were willing to go down for protecting their kingdom. Nebris began the assault by throwing splash potions from the mages towers, high above the ground. Potions of poison, harming and instant damage littered the bridge crossing the town to the palace. Vechs snarled at this gesture and drew his sword. He swung violently at the men. But they didn't flinch.

Ziestau had drawn his bow and aimed for Nebris. He let go, danced a little jig and ran across town in glee. Nebris flew out the window, only hanging on by his now torn cloak, wrapped around a banister of his balcony. He climbed slowly up and removed the arrow head from his chest. He now began saving himself. He was finished with his part.
