Party and Pain

The town was in shambles. But that didn't stop the celebrations of the townsfolk for their victory. The stall owners supplied the food, Aurey made bunting for the town square and Dadbee made some long wooden tables to sit at. The town had a party that all attended.

Later that night, Guude had the ceremony for the participants and presented them all with robes. Aurey walked a few paces behind Guude, clearly proud of her work. He shook the hands of all the men. "Beef and Milbee, congratulations on placing third" said Guude as he handed the bronze hemmed robes. "Seth and Sevadus, congratulations on placing second" he said as he presented the two with their silver hemmed robes. "Chad, our saving grace, congratulations. May your reign be long and healthy." Said Guude to a shocked Chad.

"Really?!" Questioned Chad, as if he didn't see himself worthy, even after what he had just done. Guude laughed his signature laugh and presented Chad with the gold hemmed robe. "And thank you to Aureylian, for creating these robes, and for securing yourself a job as the new royal tailor." Guude said subtly.
Aurey jumped around uncontrollably and hugged Guude and thank his graciously for her new job.

Everyone was now to forward into the dinning hall to eat dinner after a very long day. "A toast, to the victory, our new king and tailor, and a new Mindcrack." Exclaimed Kurt as he raised his glass to his king for a final time. He then placed his hand on Chad's shoulder as a seal of approval. He now saw Chad as a worthy man.

Twas the next day, the participants were now packing their belongings and preparing to leave the palace, their home for the past few weeks. They all thanked Guude, and headed home. Chad and Aurey stared in disbelief at their friends as they walked out of the palace gates and into the town. "We've done it" said Aurey calmly. "We've made our dreams come true Chad". "Yeah, I guess we have" replied Chad.

Chad was to have another routine checkup with Jeff on his injuries. "You're looking a little better, but it's still very blue, purple and red down here Chad. You really butchered yourself" complained Jsano.
"All in a day's work!" said Chad, gleefully. "Besides, Guude and I have to meet with Arkas and Adlington about rebuilding the town after this".

"I think that'll be tomorrow at this rate Chad." "What's that mean?" inquired Chad. "I have to operate. You have an infection in your right abdomen" said Jeff, clearly concerned.
"I'll go notify Guude, you stay here and lay down over there. And take of your shirt too"
Jsano left the room and Chad anxiously awaited his return.
"The meeting has be moved to tomorrow morning" informed Jeff. "Thanks Jeff" replied Chad.
"Now just close your eyes Chad, and count to ten for me"

"One...two...three...four...five...siiiix"
Chad had fallen under a potion of anaesthesia.
