Every breath he took felt like a waste.
His brain crying out for air to begin working again. Nothing could aid him in his last moments. He sprawled his body out on the hot nether brick floor and heaved as he felt the end coming. He closed his eyes and saw a light, no colour, just light. Someone emerged from that light calling his name."Chad! Chad! Come here, I'm here!" Called a familiar voice. Attempting to respond and answer their call, he opened his mouth to release the words. But nothing came out. Not even air could escape his body. Vibrations began to fill his fragile skeleton, the corridors flooded with the bounding footsteps of his unknown saviours.
Sevadus and Jsano led the group, charging down the corridors and bursting into rooms. Time was inching away from them. Every step they took was life being taken away from Chad. They were combing the area, their sight fixed only on his rescue.

They found him.
Alone.
Tired.
Hungry.
Jittery.
His muscles were beginning to shut down, in an almost seizure like state.
He was on deaths door. Jeff performed a cardiac arrest to be safe, he was alive, barely. A account was sent back through the fortress to secure the pathway back to the portal. As Chad was breathing steadily, time began to slow down. They were almost home. Yet the worst was to come. A yelp came from across the lava filled dimension. A ghast had spotted the team and fired directly toward them. With no weapons to aid them, a mad dash was made to the cobblestone walls surrounding the portal for security. Screeching could be heard all around, until, there was dead silence. Only the popping of lava could be heard, along with Chad's attempts to breath.
A figure emerged from behind another wall.
It was Aureylian.
She shot down the ghast and had the treasure to prove it. A ghast tear.
Their lives were spared thanks to this daring woman. Her bravery would change the course of women in Mindcrack for years to come.
