(who are you by 5H)
once you two had taken a break
from the events you took part in,
you returned.
but no doubt about it,
the night before,
your voice
took me
to another world.
a world
of peace and serenity.
a world
free of pain and misery.
your voice
was
m a g i c .
you took
my breath away.
you looked dazzling
on stage.
your eyes closed,
as the lyrics
and
your soulful voice
carried me away
to this world.
i wish you could've seen it.
the effect you had on others.
we sat there in awe and silence,
surprised
that your performance with him had ended.
frankly,
i was, too.
my heart
thumped against my chest,
much like
the day we first met.
you gave us
a glowing smile in thanks,
walking off stage,
gracefully,
like an angel.
if only you knew, daisy.
but if you did,
it would
r u i n
what you and i have right now.
and i don't want that,
daisy.
you mean
too much
to me
for you
to know.
