while you were off with..
let's call him..
ulysses.
when you were off with ulysses,
i was with..
milo.
we sat together,
often talking about you.
i felt comfortable enough to tell him.
comfortable enough to tell him
about
my crush
on you.
"so.. you're bisexual?"
he asked me,
unsure of how to respond.
to be frank,
i wasn't either.
so i told him
"no."
when i told him,
i was surprised.
surprised by how easily i told him.
milo told me
the things he'd done
to win your love.
in his eyes,
at least.
his so-called
'acts of love'
were obnoxious pranks
being held by him
to get your attention.
and get your attention
they did.
but not
in the way
he expected.
they only made you
h a t e
him.
which was the
opposite
of what he was
trying
to do.
pity makes people weak,
or so i've been told.
i pitied
how
pathetic
and
lovesick
he looked
at the mention of your name.
but i was no better.
but at least
i
was better at
hiding
it,
daisy.
it hurts
a lot more
than it should.
