Chapter 13: "Friends"

~Leila's POV~
After a while of talking to Michael and learning a lot about him, I realized that all this guy was doing, was trying to get Sam and I back together. I knew it would never happen, but like Michael said, maybe Sam and I could at least be friends.
We were on our way back to the tour bus now. Starbucks was only about a ten minute walk away from where they were at with the buses. I decided on leaving here Saturday, that way I would be back home by Monday in order to go to work and class.
"So, how do you like it here?" Michael asked, breaking the some-what awkward silence that had fallen upon us.
"It's nice. It's nothing like back home. It's a lot colder here and very pretty." I replied, truthfully.
"Yeah. I've been around the whole United States thanks to this tour and Tennessee doesn't compare anything to anywhere else. It's definitely a remarkable place." He stated.
He was right. Tennessee was truly a remarkable place.
"Yeah. It's lovely here." I said with a small smile.
After everything that had went on today it seemed almost impossible to smile. But somehow, I managed to and it honestly made me feel good. What's the point in being a rude grouch all the time, anyways? Just because you had a bad day, doesn't mean you have a bad life. Even after everything I have went through, I'm still going to put a smile and act like everything is okay. Because, honestly, everything was okay, or at least will be with time.
That's the crazy thing about life. Every thing will work out in the end, even if you don't think it will.
"You know, just to let you know, Sam fucked up." Michael said, breaking the comfortable silence.
"What do you mean?" I asked, quietly.
"Every thing he has done. Leaving you. Even after knowing everything, him leaving you was a dick move and you didn't deserve that." He said.
"Thank you, Michael. That means a lot, you don't even know." I replied, truthfully.
"You're welcome! DOn't thank me for the truth." He replied.
"Okay, well do you think Sam will be in the mood to talk?" I asked, as we got back to the tour bus.
"I don't know, but you're not leaving here until you guys are at least friends again." He said.
Michael was very stubborn, but all the best people are.
"Well, here goes nothing, I guess." I said.
I sighed as I walked up to Sam's tour bus and knocked on the door.
I was nervous as hell, no doubt about it.
