Chapter 10

I lay on my bed, in the same spot. I haven't moved in 14 days.

My door is locked and I have tear stained cheeks, with a runny nose.

Vic and my parents have tired to come in. But I wouldn't let me. I haven't moved in 14 days.

People are starting to worry. I can see why. I haven't posted a new outfit in 14 days.

I haven't talked in 14 days. Nothing has happened in 14 days. Ever since I found out he was getting married.

I don't know what to do anymore. My hands grab his flannel that's still holding a bit of his scent and I close my eyes letting tears slip.

That's all I have been doing these past 14 days. Crying and thinking of him.

I hear Vic and Lexi talking well mostly Vic telling Lexi what to do.

He's hurt too. Because the people we love, are getting married to each other.

We lost them. He's handling it better. Well that's not entirely true.

He has become a lot meaner to Lexi. I bet he looks at Calum with death glares.

Calum. Just his name makes my heart break.

He doesn't like me, he hates me. He thinks I'm a mean and horrible person.

I would stand up to my parents for him. I would go to room 14 for him. I would do anything for him.

I love him. He isn't a peasant, he's the man of my dreams.

Enough is enough, I stand up and I walk into the shower. I wash my hair and body and I get out, blow drying my hair and I dry my body.

I walk out of the room and I put on undergarments. Then I slip on a sweater, with a maroon colored skirt, and my converse. I curl my hair and I put on lipstick.

My hands grab my necklace and I clip it on and I slip on my beanie.

I take a deep breath and open the door and I walk out going downstairs.

I bump into Vic and he smiles and pulls me into a hug. I tense up and then hug him back.

"You finally are out and you look beautiful." he speaks softly and I smile opening my mouth.

"T-thanks Vic, it feels good and I'm going for a walk," I smirk and watch as he smiles.

I walk past him and greet Lexi then walk outside.

My hands brush off the guards and the gate opens as I walk down the streets.

I hear talk everywhere.

"She's walking by herself,"

"I heard she tried to seduce Calum,"

"How dare she! He is about to get married,"

"Is that the princess? Where are the guards"

"Did you hear? Calum is getting married to Lexi,"

"She's nothing, it must be a trick, why is she in this poor village alone?"

I roll my eyes and I fiddle with my necklace.

My feet take me to a farmers market that's a little booth. I sigh and pull out 5 hundred dollar bills.

"Here you go," I smile a little and hand it to the sweet old lady. "I'm sorry for my parents and how they treat you," I speak with sincere.

She looks up with wide eyes and I smile sadly and walk off, pulling my beanie farther down my hair.

I feel a little girl run up to me and I smile bending down.

"Hello darling, you look beautiful," I smile softly as she blushes smiling widely.

She hugs me and I hug her back careful not to hurt her. I see her run off back into her mothers arms.

This village is beautiful.

Everyone keeps staring at me and I blush keeping my head down. I take a deep breath and I look up seeing him.

My breath hitches and I quickly hide before he can see me. Dear god that was close. He didn't see me right?

Wow she finally talked. I look over seeing Lexi's confused face.

"What are you looking at," I snap and have to hide the pain in my eyes.

She looks away quickly and keeps sweeping. I don't wanna be mean.

But I showed her secrets, I showed her the side of me, only Maria has seen.

I love this girl and she has a soon-to-be husband.

I love this girl and she hates me.

I love this girl and she loves another guy.

She keeps sweeping "once you're done with that, I need to clean my bathroom and then organize my closet," I order and walk away, holding back tears.

This hurts me as much as it probably hurts her.

But I have to keep my guard up.

Even if I still love this girl.

I have to.

I just have to.
