Chapter 19

Lexi pov

"Do you take Calum to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The preacher asks.

"I do." I say.

"You may now kiss the bride." He says and Calum pulls me in a passionate kiss.

Everyone cheers it's the perfect wedding not to big but not too small. Lynn my bridesmaid and Luke the best man. I smile as Calum kisses me again.

I sit up in bed breathing heavily. I feel someone shift beside me and I see Calum.

"Everything okay?" He asks and sits up with me.

"Calum are we actually getting married?" I ask him softly.

"I-I don't know everyone knows. What are we gonna do?" He asks and I get up.

"We'll be okay. I have to tell Lynn though. She is after all my bridesmaid."

"I'll tell Luke." He says and I give him a questionable look.

"I asked him to be my best man." He says and I hug him.

"They love you either way." I say and he looks at me.

"Calum?"

"What if-"

"No Cal-"

"We actually want-"

"Calum-"

"Want this?" He finishes and I think. Vic pops in my mind and I look up at him.

"We love other people.

"But Lexi just think-"

"Calum stop." I sit him down on the bed with me straddling his lap.

"I know what you're thinking it would solve a lot of things but-"

"No Lexi it's not that it's just I found out something."

"What?" I ask him and push him back on the bed.

"Maria's my sister." He says and I look at him with wide eyes.

"How did you find out?"

"Last night a couple guards came by and told me some things." He says and sits with me.

"When did they come?"

"You were already asleep but they told me that Maria is my sister, and that her and Vic will be attending our wedding with the king and queen." He says and holds me.

"They're coming?"

"Yes and Maria is your new bridesmaid and Vic is my new best man as a way to 'apologize' for almost 'breaking' us up." He says and I look at him in shock.

"You're joking?"

"No actually," he looks at the clock, "you need to go pick out your wedding dress." He says and I hug him.

"I love you Calum Hood."

"I love you Lexi Silence."

He looks in my eyes and I look into his. I knew my love for him was growing a little stronger.

"Lexi there's something else."

"Yeah?"

"Vic's getting married to Danielle tomorrow." He says and my heart busts. He was marrying her. I knew it.

"Oh it's okay I guess." I say and he looks at me.

"Did he-"

"He agreed to it." He says and I look at Calum.

"I'm sorry." He says and I kiss him.

Sometimes, I think we're actually a couple. Other times I know the truth but try to push it away. I just never win.

Calum pov

~Last night~

I look at Lexi as she sleeps on my couch. I was about to pick her up and take to my room when I hear a knock at the door. I move Lexi's legs carefully and open it.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Calum Hood we have news." I see a guard in front of me.

"Okay." I say cautiously.

"There are many things. Calum Hood you're the brother of Maria Argent, also Maria and Vic will be attending your wedding as best man and bridesmaid request from the king, also Vic will be due to marry Danielle Victoria in 2 days, also from the king. Congratulations on getting married." The guard says and I smile.

"Thank you have a nice night."

"You too sir." He says and leaves.

I close the door and sigh quietly. I look at Lexi and pick her up and carry her to my room. I lay her on my bed and get in on the other side. She snuggles closer to me and I smile. I wrap my arms around her and I fall asleep thinking about what I'm gonna tell her in the morning.

~Now~

I watch as we split ways and she goes to buy a wedding dress and tell Lynn what's happening. I do the same with Luke and we go to get Vic. We meet up at the tuxedo shop.

"Congratulations Vic on the marriage." Luke says and I say the same. He thanks us and we start looking for our size tuxedos. I find a perfect one and sooner or later the others do too. We get them and head to our homes

Sometimes, I forget this is all fake.

Lynn pov (surprise??)

I shop with Lexi and Maria a little disappointed that I'm not Lexi's bridesmaid anymore but it's not her fault. We've already got the bridesmaid dress and now we're looking for Lexi's wedding dress. That's when me and Lexi see the perfect one.

"That's the one." We say and I make her try it on.

When she's trying it on I look at Maria. Might as well talk to her.

"Hey I just wanted to tell you something."

"Yeah?" She asks emotionless.

"Look you have to stop being mopey. I'm sorry to tell you but they're happy and since your now the bridesmaid you have to be happy for them even if you aren't. I know it sucks for you but get over it. I want this to be perfect for Lexi we've been planning this since we were kids but king's order says your the bridesmaid and the wedding has to be nothing too big but nothing too small. Lexi and Calum's family and friends and that's it. No more than them. I'm the wedding planner and I say what happens. I just need you to be happy. Fake it. Then you can be mopey. I just don't want Lexi sad on her wedding day." I finish my speech just as Lexi walks out and Maria look at me shocked.

"Oh Lexi! It's perfect! Can I please fix your hair?" I ask and she smiles.

"Yeah and Maria could you please do my makeup? I mean if you don't mind."  She asks shyly.

"Sure! I'd love to! The dress is just perfect." She says and I smile knowing my speech worked.

"Now let's go." Lexi says and I smile as we walk home.

It'll be great I just know it.
