Chapter Seventeen
------Ylva
I was scaling through the clothes rack at Next, searching for a dress to wear this evening. I hated clothes shopping. Wait, scratch that, I hate any kind if shopping! Misty and Lucine were whining in my mind, giving me a terrible headache. You cannot take them anywhere.
'Oh I'm bored! Can we go?' Misty yawned, clearly annoyed at looking for a dress for the past three hours!
'I'm hungry!' Lucine complained before pausing, 'Wait, do I smell KFC?'
"Ugh, there's nothing here!" I snarled, flipping at one of the dresses as my stomach growled - and Lucine was not helping by naming all the closest restaurants.
"But there is! Look at all these gorgeous things!" Maisy pointed at some dark blue dresses.
"It smells weird in here." I muttered.
Maisy chuckled, "That's just the natural aroma of perfumes." I shot her an annoyed look, "Okay, I will find you a dress! Go get some Burger King or something!" She snickered, now flicking through a rack of black and white dresses.
"Yes! Don't pick anything too flashy though!" I warned, hastily walking out before she could change her mind.
I walked over to a KFC that was in the mall. God, I love KFC, it was my number one favourite. I ordered two chicken popcorns, two Big Daddy meals and two Krushems before gathering it all and walking out. Man, Maisy better hurry up before I eat all of this! I slipped onto a chair and took a chunk of the burger, digging in.
I was popping the last few popcorns into my mouth when Maisy came running over, excitement crossing her face, "Should I be worried that you look so happy?" I pointed as she sat down in front of me.
"Nope!" She beamed, "I have the perfect dress for you!"
"Can I see it?" I pondered, looking towards the bag.
"No!" She snatched the bag and placed it away from me.
"Why?!" I whined, pouting my lower lip.
"Because you'll ruin the surprise!" She smiled, before digging into the popcorn.
"Fine! As long as it's not flashy!"
"Well... it's not too flashy." she smirked. When I asked why she blatantly ignored me. God, dammit. Now I kind of wish I didn't leave her to pick the dress. Who knows was dress she picked up from that weird smelling store.
'I'm worried that she picked something really flashy and Ryker won't like it!' Lucine whined, wanting to peer into the black Next bag that was so close.
'You're the one who was complaining.' I mumbled. It was so tempting to snatch the bag and see what was inside; but when I tried again, Maisy smacked my hand away and put the bag on her lap. I huffed at her.
'Don't worry, Hetty told me it would look great on us.' Misty told us, even though her voice sounded uncertain and weary too.
'Who's Hetty?' I asked, confused at all the new names.
'Maisy's wolf.' Misty said in a 'duh' tone.
'Okay, Sarcy.' I replied smugly.
'Sarcy?' Lucine asked.
'Sarcastic, Luc, sarcastic.' I muttered before closing the link.
