Chapter Nineteen
------Ylva
His question rotated around my mind, over and over. Ryker had been closer to me, he was my mate. But was I ready to become officially his mate, his Luna? I knew that I still needed a Luna ceremony to officially the pack's Luna but this just made that process edge closer.
Misty and Lucine were begging for me to say yes. They wanted to be his, to belong to him, 'Please!' Lucine begged.
'We'll be complete with him!' Misty cried, trying to gain control.
'I don't know whether I'm ready! I want to be free!' I whined, 'Maybe I can nope out of this conversation.'
'No! You can't do this to us!' Lucine hissed.
I didn't know whether I loved Ryker yet. I mean, I did but... I sighed. I knew that I needed to have more trust in him, but I was never the one to trust easily. What if something happened? I looked into his pleading green orbs, "I know that it's hard for you to trust, and I know that you don't quite love me like I love you right now. But, I promise you will never get hurt again." Ryker whispered, moving slowly closer to the marking spot.
"I-" I sucked in a breath, "I don't know."
Ryker's hands clamped tightly on my hips, "Please, baby." he sucked on the marking area, a moaning threatening to leave my parted lips.
'Please!'
'Please!' Misty and Lucine were begging me to let him claim us. For us to belong to him was a big commitment. Like marriage, but if you reject them once your marked, you don't die, you just feel the pain for the rest of your life.
I looked at Ryker as he kissed softly and leaned back, his eyes tracing over my face. His arms wrapping around my waist made me feel safe and loved. His eyes connected with mine, "Please, Kitten?" His eyes looked lovingly and longingly at me. My heart was racing inside my chest at an insane rate. I didn't realise my fingers that clung to his tux blazer.
"I will always love and protect you." he whispered, standing up so he was a head taller than me.
'Please, Ylva! Please. I want to belong to him, he is my soulmate! The one I am supposed to belong to!' Misty whimpered, desperately trying to take control of me.
'But his do you know that he won't do something that hurts us?' I asked, feeling sparks as Ryker kissed my head.
'I don't but we, you, need to trust him!'
Not even a nope out. I looked at Ralph's promising eyes. I guess if I did get hurt, there's always back home. I sighed, nodding my head and looking up at him, "Mark me." was all I replied.
Ryker gripped my hand, a low growling sound erupting from his chest. He weaved us through the groups of laughing and talking people, before we were outside. The crisp evening air calmed me but I shivered at the coldness. My nerves were everywhere.
Ryker pulled me over to a fountain, it poured out clear blue icy water. We stood beside it, his arm wrapped around my waist securely. My breathing became rapid and my heart beat increased. I stared into those dreamy green eyes that held so much love and passion, "Relax, baby girl." Ryker whispered, "I will take care if you."
His lips connected with my own, my hands making their own way to his shoulders for support. Ryker's lips left mine and trailed down my jaw, to my chin, to my neck. I gasped loudly when he reached the specific area. His large hands held me in my place, wrapping around my body, making me, Misty and Lucine feel safe.
Ryker inhaled my scent and gripped my hair, pulling my head too the side. This is actually happening? Am I really letting him do this to me? What if he hurt me, or doesn't really love me?
I tensed as I felt a wisp of a tongue swipe across my empty neck. Ryker pulled back, looking at me, his incisors growing longer. His eyes turned pitch black, notifying me that Raiden was preparing to claim me. Swallowing, I slowly nodded my head, my breathing hitching.
"Calm down, baby girl," he whispered, leaning down to my neck again. I took a few deep breaths before a sharp pain rang in my neck. A painful pinch punctured my neck and my knees nearly gave way at the pain, but Ryker held me strong, his fingers digging into my waist.
I felt his teeth sink deeper, claiming me as his and his alone. Misty and Lucine winced but howled and hissed in pleasure. My hands were gripping his tux blazer, holes being ripped at my growing nails as I yelped in pain. I heard Raiden or Ryker growl lowly before he pulled his teeth out.
His dark green orbs stared at me lovingly, like I had just made his night. Well, I probably did. I felt my eyes flash yellow and blue. All the pain I felt in the past, my mother and father being killed, me feeling pain, everything faded away. At that present moment, it was just Ryker and I. No one in the world existed except us. I almost toppled over as pain cycled my neck again. I whimpered before Ryker's strong hands caught under my arms. I felt tears stinging my eyes as the pain increased.
"Hey, it's okay, baby girl. It's only the after venom." Ryker whispered, leaning down again and licking the burning bite of my neck. When he produced the mark, his venom went into me so I would always smell partly of him. It was to warn other unmated males, that I already belonged to someone.
He continued to lick the mark. All of a sudden, Misty howled in pleasure. Ryker sucked on the mark, making a small moaning like noise leave my parted lips. He growled lowly, pulling me closer. I buried my face into the crook of his neck, my moans quietening as he continued to work magic. Oh, wow... is that supposed to happen?
'Thank you!' Misty howled, her mate still giving her pleasure.
'Thank you for being so pa-' I gasped as Ryker's had rested on my hips, lifting me up and sitting down with my legs to the side of him. '-So patient' I finished.
Ryker's hand pulled my head closer to him, his lips devouring my own. I groaned slightly against his lips, wrapping my arms around his neck. His tongue wanted access. Hmm, not that easily! I smirked, shaking my head. He looked at me and smirked back, his hand slipping past my waist, making me shiver. I yelped as he pinched my butt and his tongue slipped in. Lucine was hissing, her way of wanting more.
"What did I say about the butt?" I mumbled before Ryker's tongue explored my mouth as my hands trailed through his hair. He chuckled and I smiled, pulling away, resting my head against his chest.
"You don't know how delicious you look in that dress, baby girl." Ralph huskily whispered by my ear, "Thank you." he spoke, wrapping me closer to him, if that was possible.
Everything seemed right. My life seemed better, my friends were better, everything was better. I didn't need to worry about anything anymore. Ryker was there for me, through wind, rain, whatever.
"I love you." I smiled as his body tensed around me. I guess he thought he wouldn't hear that from me.
"I love you too, kitten." The way he used nicknames, it made me feel safe, and I knew nothing could happen to me as long as I held Ryker's claim. I rested into his arms, inhaling his addicting scent. Lucine and Misty relaxed, allowing sleep to take over.
