Chapter Forty Three
------

Ylva

I gasped when I could here Ryker's sweet voice fill my mind. Oh the joy I could've been in, the sweet sound of music to my ears. Could've. Blake was repeatedly trying to attack me, yelling things that I barely paid attention to as I barely dodged. Rialy was in hundreds of chains, unable to move, begging him to stop. Blake just laughed and hit me harder. A silver blade was lodged into my side and a pull of the silver collar had me screaming in pain.

'R-Ryker...' I whimpered back, trying to hide my fear and pain but failed. I heard Raiden's growl through my head, making me sob more.

'I'm coming, Ylva. Blake will pay for what he's done to you!' Ryker snarled. I could feel his intense heartbeat and his achy legs. He was coming for me. My Alpha, my mate had been searching for me. For over a week, I'd been here, in pain, guilt and losing hope, and now I finally hear the wonderful huskiness of his voice and the fact that he's coming for me!

Misty and Lucine were sobbing and whimpering loudly, but after hearing our mate's voice, it somehow became more bearable. Nothing could be compared to how much pain I felt but hearing Ryker's voice after so long made everything better.

Almost.

Blake laughed. "I heard your Alpha is coming here." He retorted, "Good luck to him!"

"R-Ryker will come. And he will kill you." I hissed, receiving an extra hard punch across the face. I glared at Blake through fuzzy eyes and spun on the floor, hitting his legs so he tripped. Blake landed face first on the floor, groaning in pain. I smirked at how good this felt. Seeing him in pain, seeing him suffer.

'N-No Ylva. D-Don't think t-that!' Lucine stuttered, pleading me to think positive.

"Bitch." Blake snarled, stabbing my ankle with a blade, then clutching it. I whimpered as the crack of bones echoed through ears, causing Misty to whine out. Blake let go and I gripped my ankle, tears rapidly falling.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Rialy snapped, making herself known. Blake hissed at her before slapping her across the face. She cried out, her head whipped to the side before being roughly pulled to look at Blake.

"I've been nice to you in the five years you've been here. I can change that right now." he threatened.

Rialy spat in his face, "Oh yeah, I forgot, being locked in a cell is nice. Right, sorry!" She spoke sarcastically. Even though it was a bad situation, I had to hold back the urge to splutter with laughter. A punch collided with her stomach, making her wheeze and cough.

I limped to my feet, holding my bleeding nose. None of my wounds seem to be healing, making it more painful to me. Ignoring all the pain, I leapt onto Blake's back, covering his face with my hands. I wrapped my legs around his torso, 'accidentally' colliding my feet with his crotch, making him ball over and groan. I landed over him and smacked his head against the concrete floor, knocking him out cold. I winced as I got up and walked over to Rialy.

"Oh my God! Are you okay? I'm so sorry, I could helped y-"

"No, you couldn't have. You were tied up. Don't worry, I'm fine." I told her, sniffing harshly as I snapped the cuffs.

"Don't be ridiculous, of course your not fine! You're covered in scars, bruises, cuts, fucking hell, he snapped your ankle!" Rialy pointed at my swollen foot that had already turned black. It was slowly healing due to hearing Ryker, and Lucine was making sure to try and numb it, but that didn't stop the ache.

"It's nothing." I insisted, hulling her up to her feet.

"Ylva-"

"RIALY, IT'S NOTHING!" I snapped. She flinched back, stepping away. I put my hand over my mouth and gasped, "Rialy, I-I'm so sorry!" I stutter, staring at her.

"It's fine." she said meekly, grabbing the keys from Blake's pocket with her steady hands - it was a power she had.

"No, it's not. I shouldn't have-! I'm sorry, I'm -"

"Ylva, stop. It's not your fault. Blake is injecting you with shit. When you get to your mate, it will get better for you! I promise!" Rialy replied with a small sigh. I knew that sigh.

"It's going to get better for you, Rialy. You're joining the pack and living with us. Your life will get better!" I told her, pulling her into a hug.

"Okay... if you say so" Rialy muttered as if she didn't believe me. She's been given up hundred of times before, of course, she wouldn't believe me.

"I know so." I smirked, before springing into action, "Come on before he wakes!" Rialy nodded.

We rushed out the cell, locking it behind us. Throwing the keys in a corner, we sprinted up the concrete steps. We froze as two shadows came closer to us, "Do you think Blake's changed her yet?"

"No, but he's doing it today."

"Hey, she's so hot."

"Yeah, sometimes I wanna strip her down and-"

I growled loudly. How dare they talk about me like that! Their heads snapped our way and their eyes widened. My orbs turned a menacing black before I leapt at them. Misty took control, not allowing them to scream before she ripped out their throats. She laughed at them as they fell, enjoying the smell of blood that scented the room. Rialy smirked as well, enjoying being free and killing the people who hurt her.

We continued our trail up the stairs until we came to a large hallway. The wooden floor boards, eerie, mouldy walls. We used our Lycus speed and sprinted to a door. We locked ourselves inside, trying to catch our breath, "Ylva. This is not the ground floor. We need to cover another floor. This one had guards everywhere." Rialy sighed, pulling on the ends of her hair.

"We can shift." I suggested.

"You can't. Your wolf is too weak because she is not with her mate." Rialy responded, factually.

"Yes I can!" I said, determined to prove her wrong. I felt blood rushing through my body. Fur erupted and my snout appeared. But Misty howled in pain, giving up and giving control back. My bones replaced, blood slowed and snout disappeared.

"I told you!" Rialy hissed.

My head felt dizzy and my mind went blank. I dropped to my knees as pain hits my back. Ryker! What are you doing? I slowly spin round, landing in a heap on the floor.

"Ylva? Ylva!" I hear Rialy call, but it's so faint and hard to answer back.

"R-Rialy. I'm s-so tired..." I whisper before darkness encloses me and sleep takes over.

"YLVA!"
