Chapter Forty One
------

Ylva

Nothing...

Emptiness...

Emotionless... I can't feel anything. What am I becoming?

"Ylva? Ylva, listen to me-"

"Shut the fuck up. Nobody cares about what you have to say!" I shouted at Rialy. Her eyes went glassy and she stared at me. A look of horror flashed through her orbs before she turned and glared at Blake.

"It's working." Blake grinned darkly.

I growled at him, "Pride is a luxury you don't have!" I hissed, smacking Blake across the face. He looked shocked, holding his pale cheek before he smirked at me.

"Do you remember, nobody loved you. Not even your uncle, the person you thought saved you. You were just a burden to them." Blake spoke, walking closer. I stared that the man in front of me with a blank face - did they truly not care about me?

'Yes, they did care! Ylva, you're in a trap. Ignore him!' Lucine hissed.

I whimpered and clutched my stomach. Pain shot through my legs and arms and through my body.  I felt a flash through my eyes before the original violent returned,'W-What's happening to me?' I asked, groaning in agony.

'Blake's trying to manipulate you. Don't let him. He will make you kill your family, friends and even your mate!' Misty cried, forcing the pain away as best as she could.

"Y-You're lying." I whimpered, stumbling over to Rialy. She gave me a knowing look, smiling tightly.

"Hm, seems as though we need a few more tries at this one." Blake muttered before walking away.

"R-Rialy, I'm so sorry. I didn't-I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm sorry!" I said, hugging her tightly as my body began to shiver.

"Don't worry. Blake tried it with me before, but..." She sucked in a breath, biting on her bottom lip, "He made me kill my cell partner."

I gasped, "No, no, no. I don't want to hurt you!" I cried, moving away from her and wrapping my arms around myself. Rialy got up and walked to me, "No, don't come closer, I don't want to hurt you. I'm supposed to protect you."

"Ylva. I don't care. I know that whatever you do, it won't be you who did it. It was that monster upstairs who drinks champagne and sleeps on his own money." Rialy whispered, embracing me in a tight hug.

"Whatever I say to you or do to you in that form, I promise I will never mean it. I will never try to hurt the people I love!" I insisted.

"We have a plan; stick to it. Don't let Blake take this chance away from you. You need to destroy what destroys you. My mother always said that to me." Rialy smiled a bit, remembering her mother.

"I will not leave you here. You will come with me no matter what!" I told her, leaving no room for debate.

"You don't have to." Rialy said, looking away.

I pulled her to stare at me, "I will." I confirmed and she sighed, nodding her head, "Let's get some sleep. We will try tomorrow, no matter the punishment." I mumbled the last part.

I walked over to the corner and snuggled up into a ball, no longer able to shift into my wolf. Rialy shifted closer to me, both trying to keep warm in this freezing cell.

'You can never get away!' His evil voice snarled through my mind.

'I can try!'  I hissed, pelting my way through thick trees and bushes. My paws were thudding against the damp mud, making branches crumble and shake to the ground.

'Give me your power and I will leave you alone!' He suggested.

'No! My power is special, I can kill you with this and one day I will!' I snapped, smacking my paws against the filthy vampire behind. He stumbled over, knocking his head against a tree.

'I doubt that sweetheart.'

'You shouldn't doubt someone you don't know.' I told him, 'Do you really believe that you will succeed?'

'Yes, because all I have to do is catch you.'

I cried loudly in wolf form when a man jumped in front of me, his teeth baring, claws lengthening, face angry, 'Gotcha!'

I gasped awake, panting heavily. I whined in pain at the restrainments that were slowly tightening around my wrists, waist and ankles each time I moved.

Wait... Restrainments?

I glanced down to see thick metal cuffs, attached to a large chain, connected to me. I looked around for Rialy but couldn't see her. What if Blake's got her? Misty growled at the thought of someone she loves being hurt.

"Looking for this?" I heard a vile voice echo around the cell. I looked to see Blake holding Rialy, with his teeth close to her neck. Rialy's orbs looked so scared and full of fear. I growled lowly, my eyes seeing strips of red. I shook my head, erasing thoughts of how nice it would be to see Blake in pain and begging for his life.

"Put. Her. Down." I snarled, struggling against the chains.

"Hm, no. Her blood smells good." Blake teased, trailing his tougne along a shivering Rialy.

"Don't you dare!" I shouted. He looked at me expectantly and laughed. I growled again and Blake glared at me.

"You won't do what I want, I'll have to do it a different way." he smirked. He forced an incisor into her delicate skin, blood pouring from the broken skin. Rialy screamed out before biting her lips, closing her eyes tightly and whimpering out. Blake groaned and closed his eyes, sucking her blood.

I snapped. Something inside me was changing, wanting to rip his head off for hurting someone I loved. I tried ripping the chains from the wall but they were securely locked in. Looking back, I saw Rialy's pale body somehow go paler. When she looked up, her eyes were brimming with tears, and seeing someone I cared about being hurt was all that Misty, Lucine and I needed.

I saw Drake and Cameron gasp before fiddling with items on a table. I had gripped my waist chain, using all my strength, and crushed it under my palms, breaking it in two. I was quick to my feet before clutching the other cuff on my wrist and yanking it from the wall. I launched it across the room, smacking Blake across the head, making his canines leave Rialy. She fell helpless to the floor, blacking out. Whilst everyone was recovering, I used my Lycus speed to pull my friend away from danger.

I growled at Blake who hissed at me. I watched his eyes. I saw them glance at my stomach. His fist came hurtling towards me, so I shifted my hand forward, blocking his attack. Blake's right foot was forward, so I ducked at his second punch and kicked his feet from under him. Blake fell to the ground with a thud. Cameron hissed before leaping towards me. I landed on my back with his body laying over me, sending hit after hit.

I snapped at his face, my wolf surfacing. Fur erupted from my skin.

"Sustain her!" Blake yelled. Cameron gripped my wrists and pinned them while Drake gripped a needle, walking over to us. No, no, no, not the fucking needles again. I squirmed, forcing my shift to happen faster. But Drake was quicker and lodged the needle into my neck. My wolf whimpered, and my shift was failing, forcing me back to human. My skin returned and my canines were gone.

I felt weak and helpless. A sudden sharp impact attacked my thigh and I smelt blood - my blood. I glanced down and saw a blade lodged into my leg, reopening wounds that had healed. I whimpered and cried out at the pain. The blade was silver, making the agony a hundred times worse. A silver collar was strapped around mine and Rialy's neck, forcing us against the concrete wall, by chain.

"They're coming, sir. They'll be here by tomorrow." a guy spoke through some speakers.

"Excellent. Let's see how Ryker reacts against his injured mate." Blake laughed like venom before exiting. Darkness was flooding over me and the pain increased. I cried out one more time before plunging into utter darkness.

Ryker, please hurry....
