I'm always going to be known as The Broken Image Boy, but that's fine with me. I'd rather be known as that than anything at all. I'm proud to say that I do have a broken image of myself and that I'm not afraid to let it be known. It just means that I have went through things in my life and I can say I overcame all of them, even the hard times of my life.

This is my story and I hope my story gave hope to people. There's always going to be times in our lives that we can't handle or that we say "I can't do this anymore." But, really we can. When the dark clouds pass over, there will be sunshine.

My story is a different kind of story. I'm letting everyone know that not only girls go through having a self-harming problem, anorexia, and so on, but so do guys. Whether gay or straight. You don't have to be a gay guy to go through hard times in your life. We are all human and no one can say that their life has been perfect because we all have these secrets that hold us down like anchors and drown us until we learn to swim. God doesn't put these barriers on us to watch us suffer, he teaches us lessons and lets us know that we are strong individuals. He would never give us a problem that we couldn't finish.

I want you all to take this story of mine and let everyone know, whether you are a girl, boy, gay, straight, bi, trans, we are all human and we go through the same things in life. Some learn quicker than others, but others help the sufferers out.

Next time you see a person with cuts on their arms, look at them and say 'You are better than this. It takes a little bit of rain before the sun comes out to play.'

I want everyone to know that it does get better. Whether you learn by yourself or someone comes in your life and teaches you how to love yourself again.

If you were ever looking for a sign to not kill yourself, whether it was today, yesterday, or any other day, this is it. I care and so does others.

You are beautiful. You are wanted. Keep your head up and stay strong.

Love always,

The broken image of a boy named Cole.
