Dear diary,
Today Candice comes back from vacation and I am very glad to see her.
When I wake up, I rush into the shower and get to ready to meet her later on. After my shower, I ate breakfast and washed the dishes. I then cleaned half of the house.
When it came time to meet Candice, I got excited and nervous. I got all these butterflies-scratch that, a herd of elephants-running through my stomach. I don't know why I am nervous to see her again. Maybe because I haven't seen her in like ever, but then again, people soon leave you when they get a break from you.
I drove to Candice's house and knocked on the door.
"Baby!" She ran out the door and hugged me.
"Hey," I said, "I'm so glad to see you."
We hugged tight for a couple minutes and I never wanted to let her go.
"How are you doing?" She asks.
"Great! Kinda nervous." I admitted.
"Why?" She asked, smiling.
"I don't know. I just am." I blush.
She kissed my cheek and took ahold of hand and led me to her room. We sat on her bed and she talked to me about different things that happened on vacation and she told me how much she missed me. She was amazing.
I kissed her and she kissed back.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." She smiled, wide.
Later that night, I got home from our picnic date and I went to the kitchen.
"How was your day, kiddo?" My mom and dad asked.
"Great! Candice is back." I smiled.
They smiled back. "Well, we ought to get to bed," my parents said, "goodnight." My mom kissed my cheek and I hugged my dad.
At that, I went to my room and fell asleep. Another goodnight I had.
Love always,
The broken image of a boy named Cole.
