Part 27

~ 4 days later/ Friday Night~

Lisa's POV

I have been texting Trevor about tonight and we decided to ride together. He had texted me that he was on his way over to my house to come pick me up. He said that he would be her at 6. He showed up at 6:20. It was weird Chase had always been on time. He was such a stickler about time that usually he showed early no matter what. But Trevor wasn't Chase so I can't compare them.

Chase's POV

I was sitting in this karaoke bar that I came to tonight with Tahj. We've both been working a lot and thought it would be nice to go so something fun. When we first got here we saw Alex and this friend of ours named Jess. They were sitting kind of far away so I don't think they saw us. I saw more of our friends walking in towards where Alex and Jess were sitting.

Tahj- "I forgot that they were all hanging out tonight."
Chase- "Yeah me too."
I think Tahj could tell that I was worried about seeing Lisa because he said something almost immediately.
Tahj- "Dude I don't see her here. She's probably not coming. I wouldn't worry about it. We'll just eat and get out of here."

At the moment he said that, I saw Lisa walking in the door with some guy following close behind her. Who was she here with? I looked at them with an irritated glare.

Chase- "Who is that with her?"
Tahj- "Maybe she just gave him a ride over here."
Chase- "No bro he's totally checking her out right now."

I could see his eyes trailing up and down Lisa's body. I felt myself getting more annoyed.

Tahj- "It's probably nothing. Don't worry about them."

I sat in my seat for 10 minutes glancing over at them often. They were sitting away from everyone else at a 2 person table. I know that she hadn't seen me sitting on the opposite side of the room.
My leg was shaking up and down under the table. I couldn't sit still. I started stirring my straw that was in my water cup. When I glanced their way once more I saw him reaching for her hand as he gave her a flirtatious look. I immediately stood up out of my seat. Tahj grabbed my arm as I was about to start walking her way.

Tahj- "What are you going to do?"
I looked down at him with a small smile.
Chase- "I'm gonna go get my girl back."
Tahj- "How are you going to do that?"
Chase- "I'm not sure yet." He let go of my arm and smirked at me.
Tahj- "Go get your girl back."

I started to walk towards the other side of the room where Lisa was sitting. About halfway there Lisa looked up and we locked eyes.

Lisa's POV

Oh my gosh. What is he doing here? I didn't think that he would be here but when I was talking to Trevor I saw Chase walking my way. He didn't look mad but he didn't look happy either.
He approached our table and gave Trevor a smile.

Chase- "Hey man. I need to borrow Lisa for a minute is that okay?"
Trevor- "Uhm I-" he cut Trevor off before he could finish answering.
Chase- "Thanks man. It won't take long."

I was too shocked to say no. I stood up out of my seat and walked with Chase. We headed outside the doors and stood out in the front of the restaurant. As we stood outside I started to talk to him, frustrated that he pulled me away from Trevor.

Lisa- "Chase what are you thinking? You can't just pull me away whenever you want. You aren't the one who makes those decisions for me-"

He cut me off by crashing his lips into mine. He placed his hands gently on the side of my cheeks. I was tense at first since I was shocked at what was happening and then kissed him back. Our lips moved in sync. After some time he then pulled apart, but we remained close. Our lips were still grazing against each other's and our noses were touching. We paused for a brief second and he started speaking in a whisper.

Chase- "Look me in the eyes and tell me that you don't feel anything for me. Look at me and say that you didn't feel anything between us just now and I will leave you alone. I won't bother you again. I will let go."

I slowly looked up into his beautiful green eyes. My heart was still racing because the last thing I expected to happen was that.

Lisa- "Why won't you just leave me? Why do you want me to stay? To hurt you?"
Chase- "Because I don't believe that you truly don't have feelings for me. I think you do love me, as much as I love you. But if I'm wrong, than say it. And I will walk away from this."
While still looking into his eyes I forced myself to say those words.
Lisa- "You're wrong."

Chase started to smile down at me. I just told him I didn't want this and now he's smiling?
Chase- "You know you've always been a terrible liar."
Lisa- "Okay so now that I tell you how I'm feeling I'm lying!"
Chase- "You're left eye twitched when you said that I was wrong. When you lie your eye twitches. You can keep denying that there is something between us, but you know that kiss wasn't fake. I know your lips by now."

He started to turn around to walk back into the restaurant.

Chase- "You have a good night with Mr. Perfect in there."
Lisa- "Wait!"
He turned around and faced towards me. His hands were in his jacket pockets while he stood there waiting for me to say something.
Lisa- "Why do you keep fighting for me?"
Chase- "Because even though you're the most frustrating person that I've ever met in my life, you're worth fighting for. So I'll keep waiting... And you know what I think, is that the reason we aren't together is because you are scared. You didn't know what it was like to be loved or to be in love. So you ran."
Lisa- "Maybe there was a bigger problem than that."
Chase- "What you forgot about being in a relationship is that if there was a problem, it is you and me versus the problem. Not you versus me. That's what a relationship is."
He paused for a second.
Chase- "I'm going to go back inside, you should too. Your dates waiting... Let me know when your ready to give me the real answer to that kiss."
Lisa- "That won't happen Chase."
Chase- "I'm a patient guy Lise. I'll wait." He gave me a small smile while biting his bottom lip as he returned inside. He knew everything. He can still see right through me.
