I woke up at 7 am, which was actually late for me. I walked down the hall to the bathroom, passing Sal's bedroom on the way. He was still sleeping. Gosh I wanted to be in that bed. But I had to understand that it's not going to be like that.
I went downstairs and sat on the couch. I tried to retrieve all my old apps and pictures from my old phone. Then it hit me. Exactly one day ago I was in the Staten Island Orphanage. Wow. Things can change in literally a day.
Today was December 10, 2015. Hopefully I won't have to go to school anymore for now and I could just start next September. I actually always loved the idea of homeschooling. I might want to do that instead of Monsignor Farrell. I told myself not to forget to ask Sal when he woke up.
I was on my phone for a while. Then I heard the upstairs toilet flush, and I really wanted to talk to Sal about my school situation. He was like my guardian-parent thing now, and I really want him to care.
He came downstairs. "Good morning, Jo. I'll make you something to eat if you want. Then I have to get to set. You better come" he said in an adorable raspy voice.
"That would be so fucking cool!" I said.
"Haha. I'm sure it'll be fun. Also Joe and Murray don't know about you yet, so don't say anything. It's going to be a surprise" he said.
"Okay. Sounds good" I said.
He walked into the kitchen and motioned me to him. "Do you like eggs and toast?" he asked.
"Uh sure I'll have that. I also wanted to talk to you about school stuff" I said.
"Okay. We will talk about it over breakfast" Sal said.
When the food was ready, we sat at the table and began to eat. He wasn't the best cook, but I wasn't complaining. "So what are we doing about your school situation?" he asked.
"I actually don't know. Homeschooling sounds cool. But I really want to be like you and go to Monsignor Farrell's sister school. I can also just go to a public school" I said.
"Well I think you should online school if you want to stay home. I'm pretty sure that high schoolers can do online schooling. We can find a program. How does that sound?" he said.
"Great! Thank you" I said.
"Don't thank me. I didn't do anything yet!" he said.
We finished the rest of our breakfast. Afterwards, we went up to our rooms. I looked through my suitcases for something cute to wear to set. I gave up and put on my Impractical Jokers sweatshirt, white skinny jeans, and converse. I also unpacked a little.
I went into the hallway. Sal opened the door to his room and told me I looked cute in my hoodie. He also asked me which shirt he should wear, and that he's glad he has me to help him. One choice was a blue t-shirt and the other was a black one with a picture of money on it. I thought he would look nicer in the black one, so I obviously said black.
We got into the car and again, I sat in the front seat. "So where are you guys filming today?" I asked.
"Union Square Park. We have to get there at 10, and it's about an hour drive, so we gotta get going" Sal said.
"Okay. Let's go"
He started the car. "So you're going to walk in with me. They'll think you're a fan. Well you are, but now you're more than that. Don't say anything until I mention you. Okay?" he said.
"Got it."
"You excited to meet Murray and Joe?"
