I woke up and went downstairs to make myself scrambled eggs. I was comfortable enough to do that here. I didn't know if Sal was comfortable with me using his kitchen though. At the thought of him, I heard Sal coming downstairs.

"Hey, Jo. I'm thinking we should stay home today. It's been a crazy weekend. Maybe we can invite Q over" Sal said.

"Okay. I'm making scrambled eggs" I said.

"I hope there's enough for me" Sal said.

"Nope. It's all mine!" I said.

He laughed and made cereal for himself. I did online school until about 4 pm. I barely had any hours left.

"I just invited Q over" Sal said.

"Nice. What are we going to do?" I said.

"I don't know. Probably have dinner, watch a movie, and other shit Q and I do. We don't have to film today since it is a day after three Radio City shows" Sal said.

"Okay cool" I said as Q walked through the door.

"Hi, Jo. How are you feeling?" Q asked.

"I'm way better than yesterday" I said.

"Good" Q said.

"I'm going to pick up some Chinese. I know what you guys want" Sal said.

I made sure Sal left and went over to Q.

"So how was Radio City?" I asked.

"Amazing. Biggest shows ever" Q said.

"Okay. I'm just going to tell you what I want you to tell me. What do I need to know?" I said.

"Are you talking about what Sal doesn't want to tell you?" he asked.

"No shit. Please tell me, Q. I won't tell Sal you told me" I said.

"Sweetheart, if I was you, I'd want to know also, but I can't tell you. It's going to ruin things" Q said.

"Please tell me!" I whined.

"I can't. You and Sal love each other too much. I'm not going to ruin that" Q said.

"What if I promise not to get upset or anything?" I asked.

"You will. I can promise you that. Sal is going to be back soon" he said.

"Do Joe or Murray know?" I asked.

"Okay, I'm not going to lie to you. Sal told them over the weekend" Q said.

"Hey guys" Sal said.

"Hey, buddy. Do you want to watch a movie?" Q said.

"Yeah, but let's eat first" Sal said.

We sat at the table and ate in silence. Q and I kept looking at each other and then back at our food. Afterwards, Q and Sal went to watch a movie and I went upstairs. I only went upstairs to text Joe and Murray since they knew now.

Hey, Murray.

Hi, Jo. It's been a while. Are you feeling okay?

Yeah. I'm feeling much better.

Great! So what's up?

I just wanted to check if you knew anything about what Sal needed to tell me.

I'm sorry, Jo. I don't know anything. I don't think I should get involved.

Q told me you know.

Okay, maybe I do know. I really think you should just stop thinking about it so much.

Murr, please tell me.

I'm sorry. I can't. I've known Sal since high school, and I don't want to mess up our friendship. I can't tell you because I love the two of you very much.

Okay thanks for nothing. Bye.

I'm sorry. See you soon, sweetie.

I hate this. I need to know the truth. Joe is a big mouth. Maybe he'll tell me.

Hi, Joe.

Hey, Jo. What's up?

Okay. I'm just going to tell you. Q told me that you know what Sal isn't telling me. Can you please tell me? You promised me that if you ever found anything out you'd tell me.

Now that I know, I can't tell you. I wouldn't want Milana to know something like that if it was me. Speaking of Milana, I have to put her to sleep. See you later, Jo.

Alright. Bye.

I put my face into my pillow. Why can't anybody tell me? One day I'll know. I will be upset if I have to find out myself.

I did an hour of online school to get my mind off of this. It didn't work. I said bye to Q and then showered. After I got into my pajamas, I went downstairs to talk to Sal.

"Hey, Sal" I said.

"Hi. Why didn't you stay down here to watch the movie?" he asked.

"Just wanted to do a little school" I said.

"Oh, okay" Sal said.

It was silent for a few seconds, and then the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it" I said.

I opened the door and saw a very familiar face. I wondered why she was here. Here clothes were ripped and makeup was coming down her face.

"Emily?" I asked. This was the girl from the orphanage.

"Can I stay here for a few minutes?" she asked. Tears were streaming down her face.

"Sure. Come in" I said.

"Are you Josephine? The girl I shared a room with in the orphanage" she said.

"Yeah. It's me. Are you okay?" I asked. Sal came into the living room.

"No. I was just raped. I've been on the streets for months with no home. I should've stayed in the orphanage" she said. She was crying so much, I actually felt bad for her.

"Honey, I'm calling the cops" Sal said.

"No. Don't worry about it. I'm just going into the streets where I belong" Emily said.

Sal was already calling the cops. Emily was wearing the exact same thing as the day she left the orphanage, so I gave her three shirts and two pairs of pants.

The cops came a half hour later and took Emily with them. They said they were taking her to a safe place and find who raped her.

"She was in the orphanage with you, right?" Sal said.

"Yeah. I hated living with her. She left, but the room was still terrible. I hated having no family. I know I say it all the time, but thanks for adopting me" I said.

"Don't say thanks. Adopting you was the best decision I've ever made. I love you, sweetheart" Sal said.
