Just Cause

Umm... Oops? XD

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! So here's my little Thanksgiving mishap of the year XD

In my culture, we have this drink that's similar to eggnog that we drink around the Christmas time. It's typically supposed to be made with rum but my mom made a separate bottle without alcohol so I could drink some. The problem? The bottles they were put in were the same kind. The difference was that the one without alcohol had less than the one with alcohol.

So today we took the stuff to my grandmas house to share, and my mom told me to hide the bottle without rum so others wouldn't take it before I'd have a chance to try it. Of course like the little idiot with ADD I am, I didn't check the bottles before randomly taking one and hiding it in a mini fridge in my grandmas room.

So later on, my mom took out the drink, and that was my que to get the non alcoholic stuff. I went ahead and helped myself to a nice, big cup, and immediately realized that it tasted like absolute crap.

I don't get to drink this very often since my mom almost always makes it with rum, so the whole time I was drinking, I was just thinking: "Damn, is it really supposed to taste like this?!" Nevertheless, I drank all of it since I didn't wanna throw it away. I started getting suspicious when my throat started bothering every time I took a sip and when this weird heat came up to my chest out of nowhere.

So I told my little sister about it later on and she told me that she and our cousin had tried some earlier, but ended up putting it back since it was so bad. I panicked a bit here, and finally went and told mom, who told me that she noticed the bottle was kind of empty earlier when she was giving it out. I smelled the bottle she gave out to everyone else and it was sweet, like it was supposed to be.

So I pretty much drank today XD and my mom was asking me on the way home: "Are you happy now???" XD Thankfully, aside from that weird heat in my chest, I'm not dizzy or anything (though I kind of wish I could've gotten something to help me get over this stupid writers block XD)
