So last night I was helping my cousin write an essay for AP English. Only thing is that his English is really bad, yet he chose to take AP for some reason I'll never know.
So I sat with him and started teaching him how to write a topic sentence and a thesis statement and all that jazz, along with correcting his many, many grammatical mistakes.
But LORD ALMIGHTY SOMEONE TEACH ME HOW TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 'WHERE' AND 'WERE' BECAUSE ALL I'M DOING IS CONFUSING HIM AND THE INTERNET DIDN'T HELP US AND HE DIDN'T FINISH THE ESSAY LAST NIGHT AND GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY WHEN I SEE THAT DRAFT IT'S ALL GONNA GO TO SHIT.
Ahem
I can English.
But someone please give me an easy way to explain the difference between where and were because I confused myself trying to explain it to him last night.
