Never Forgetting What She Did

chapter 7- Michael's being weird

I was ready for the day. Thursday was today one more day until Friday. I got in my car to go get Adam and go to school until my car wouldn't start. I tried and tried repeatedly but it just wouldn't go.
Keegan- son of a biscuit eater!
I mumbled to myself. Now how am I going to get to school! Ugh! I just sat in my car for like I don't even know how long but it felt like forever. Then someone banged on my window and I looked over to see Adam with a pissed off face. I get out of the car.
Adam- what the hell are you doing?!
He was yelling at me.
Keegan- the car won't start.
Adam- so you decide to not get a ride!
Keegan- there was no one to get a ride from!
Adam-what about your dad!?
Keegan- he has work you idiot!
He got closer to me with his fist clenched tight.
Adam- don't call me an idiot.
I didn't have time to fight with him.
Keegan- I'm sorry
I saw him relax and calm down and then he sighed.
Adam- look I'm sorry too about yelling at you.
Keegan- you apologized to me again.
Adam- Yeah so?
Keegan- everyone tells me that you never say sorry.
Adam-well it's different with you so...
He changed the subject.
Adam- let's walk to school.
He started to walk and I followed him.
*At lunch*
Evan- so ember what we're you and Michael talking about?
Ember looked up in shock. She hasn't talked to me in a while.
Ember- it wasn't anything important.
I just realized that Michael didn't  sit with us today he sat with some other girls at a different table far away from ours. Weird.
Keegan- why isn't Michael sitting with us.
Ember looked at me with a depressed look in her eyes.
John- has he talked to any of you guys rather than ember.
Evan and I said no. Then ember took a deep breath and exhaled quickly.
Ember- so when we talked yesterday he told me his feelings...about me. He said he has loved me since the day we met and he wanted to ask me out but he didn't want to ruin our friendship and I was about to tell him I felt the same when he said that he didn't want to friends anymore...with anyone none of you guys.
I saw a tear run down embers cheek. Why would Michael do that. That doesn't sound like the Michael I knew at all. I hugged ember and she hugged me back and then Evan and John joined in and we started to laugh for some odd reason.
*Eighth period*
Adam and I were working together on a worksheet in math class.
Adam- so um change of subject. Do you still want to walk home t-together after school?
Why was he so nervous?
Keegan- sure but uh why are you being so nervous?
Adam- I'm not being nervous.
His eyes darkened a little.
Keegan- well I just asked because it seemed like it.
Adam- well I never was.
He sounded irritated. What was up with his mood swings?
*after school*
I was walking with Adam when it started to rain. Just my luck I don't have a jacket either. I still decided to have fun anyway. Puddles started to form and I started to jump in them one by one until I heard a chuckle behind me.
Adam- what are you doing?
He asked still laughing a little. I slowly turned around to face him.
Keegan- I um...
Adam- Your acting like a little kid.
He started to laugh at me again.
Keegan-I am not! I'm just entertaining myself because your too boring!
He stopped laughing and put a smirk on his face...that stupid but attractive face.
Adam- so you think I'm boring eh?
Keegan- yes very boring!
His smirk became a smile.
He taps me and starts running.
Adam- tag your it!!
I start running after him. We ran in circles chasing and tagging each other like we were 6 year olds. I was it now and I was chasing him and then suddenly he turned around and I ran into him but he picked me up and spun me around. He stopped spinning but my feet were still off the ground. We were both breathing hard from all of the running. I tapped him.
Keegan- Your it.
He smiled and laughed a little and I did too.
Adam- so you think I'm boring now?
Keegan- hmm? I think your a little less boring than before but overall still pretty boring.
Adam- that's totally why you were laughing the whole time and had a big smile on your face.
Keegan- you did the same thing!
He smiled and put me down.

Whoa did that just happen?
