Never Forgetting What She Did

chapter 20- forget the date

What I saw was unbelievable. There was an ambalance and a fire truck and four cop cars and about three cops standing outside. I ran up to one if them. There was a name tag that said Lucas.
Lucas- do you live here miss?
Keegan- yes I'm the daughter of Naython. What happened?
Lucas- there was an accident.
Keegan- what kind of accident?
Lucas- there was a fire.
Keegan- Ok thank you sir.
I ran off and went inside. The smoke from the fire disappeared because I didn't see it and could only smell a tiny bit of it. I looked around and saw officers looking around inspecting the place. This place so called my home...was destroyed. Everything was trashed and burnt. There was random stuff on the floor and things missing because they got caught on fire. I ran back outside. I saw Andy, my dad, and Sarah on their own stretcher. I went up to Andy. I put my hand over his. I felt tears burning in my eyes but they didn't fall. They put Andy in the ambulance while two other ambulance trucks appeared. I walk up to my dad to see him being put in the ambulance. Andy and dad were burnt with cuts and bruises. They looked terribly hurt and same as Sarah. Some tears slide down my cheeks and I hear someone calling my name. I turn around to see Adam. I run up to him and wrap my arms around him and he return the hug as more tears fall down my face. We pull away from the hug.
Adam- are you okay? What happened? Is your family okay?
Keegan- I-I don't know about my family but I wasn't here when it happened.
Lucas came up to me again.
Lucas- your dad told us that you could stay with Adam Green. Do you know him?
Adam- I'm Adam sir.
They shook hands.
Lucas- you'll be staying with him for a few. Ok keegan?
I nodded and he left. Adam grabbed my hand and pulled me towards his car. We both got in his car and waited for all of the ambulance trucks, cop cars, and a fire truck to leave. After they left we took off to Adams house.
Keegan- are you sure I can stay with you.
Adam- yes you can stay.
Keegan- Ok.
The rest of the ride was silent. We got out of the car and went inside.
Adam- my mom is at work and won't be back until some time in the morning.
I nodded. I sat on the couch.
Adam- want something to eat or drink?
Keegan- tea?
He nodded and went in the kitchen. His house was beautiful and huge like a mansion. He came back with my tea and one for him. He sat beside of me.
Adam- we're not going on the date tonight because I want to make sure your ok and happy because your more pretty that way.
Keegan- yeah and thank you...for always being there for me.
He smiled at me.
Adam- no problem.
He put his arm around me rubbing my back.
Adam- their doing just fine.
He was talking about Andy,dad, and Sarah.
Keegan- Yeah. I hope.
He stopped rubbing my back and took my hand again. He took me to a room.
Keegan- I'm guessing this is your room?
Adam- Yeah. Just showing you it just in case you need me.
I nodded and then he showed me another room.
Adam- you can sleep in here unless...you want to sleep with me.
Keegan- I'll sleep in here.
Adam- I thought so.
He smiled at me again. His smile makes me feel better.
Keegan- it's getting late and I'm tired so I'm going to sleep.
Adam- Ok. Sweet dreams Kk.
He left and went to his room. I got in the bed and fell asleep.

*At 2:00 a.m in the morning*

All I saw was burning bodies and a yellow and orange flame. My dad was screaming for help but I didn't know what to do. I saw Andy. He was dead already. I felt tears drip down my face. My dad fell to the ground and now all I saw was blood. Blood everywhere. My dad still screaming and I was unable to move.
Dad- Keegan! Help! Me! Please! Your daddy's little girl!
I couldn't move my feet and then the fire got closer to me and closer and closer until I felt the slightest pain on my feet. I looked down and the fire was now burning me.

Keegan- AHHHH!!! NO! PLEASE!
I woke up with tears rolling down my cheeks. I was sweating badly and was breathing hard. Adam came running in through the door. He climbed into bed with me and held me close to him. I calmed my breathing down. He held me to where I was facing him. My head was in the crook of his neck. I pulled away so I could see his face.
Adam- it's okay everything is fine nothing bad is going to happen.
I nodded and he wiped my tears away.
Keegan- thanks Adam.
Adam- Your welcome.
He kissed my cheek and whispered to me.
Adam- let's get some sleep.
I snuggled back up with him and his arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I soon fell asleep and he did too.
