chapter 22- the Adams family

Ember-Keegan are you okay? I heard what happened and I came as fast as I could.
Keegan-y-yeah I'm fine.
More people came through the door. I don't know who they are though.
Adam-oh um guys this is my mom and my little sister Alyssa.
I shook adams mom's hand. Adam told me she would be here i few days ago but she had to work overtime.
Keegan- nice to meet you Mrs.Green.
Mrs.Green- oh please call me Molly.
I nodded. Adam introduced everyone and told his mom about the news.
Molly- I'm sorry keegan and you can stay as long as you need to.
Keegan- thank you.
John- your welcome anytime at my house too...just so you know.
Evan- me too!
I laughed a little.
Ember- me three
Michael- me four
Keegan laughing- you guys are so weird.
Molly- well I'm gonna go upstairs.
Adam- ok.
A little girl with shiny black long hair came up to me. Adams little sister...alyssa was her name.
Alyssa- hi
Keegan- hi alyssa
Alyssa- your going to be staying with my brother, my mom, and me?
Keegan- yeah just for a little bit.
Adam put his arm around me and I saw Ember smile really big and wide at us.
Adam- or forever...I hope.
Alyssa- are you guys together?
Keegan- no.
Adam- maybe.
Keegan- no we're not.
Adam- maybe we are.
Alyssa started to laugh and everyone else did too. I don't get what's so funny. I'm being serious here. Adam takes his arm off me. He picks up alyssa and walks up the stairs and yells.
Adam- I'll be right back!
He was all the way up the stairs now.
Ember- ok so we need to plan where your getting married, how many kids your gonna have, and what your gonna name th-
Keegan- ember!
Ember- what? just asking.
Michael- what are we gonna name our kids?
Ember- we're not having kids.
Michael- but why not?
Ember- Michael.
Michael- what?
Ember- deal with it.
I laughed at them.
Evan- so....
John- oh shit...
Evan- what?
John- we're late for baseball practice.
Evan- oh I totally forgot!
Evan came up to me and hugged me and then hugged ember. He went up to michael and high fived him. John does the same thing. Then they leave.
Michael- you know I think ember and I are gonna leave.
Ember- why are we leaving?
Michael- because adam and keegan need some alone time...if you know what I mean.
Keegan- ugh! Gross michael!
Ember- well ok then have fun with adam keegan!
The ran out of the door before I could say anything. Adam came back downstairs.
Adam- alyssa is watching a movie with me wanna join?
Keegan- uh yeah sure.
I go upstairs and go in adams room. The movie already started. It was a little kid movie but I still liked it. It was beauty and the beast. I sat by adam and alyssa sat by me after a few minutes adams hand slides down my arm. His hand reaches mine and he interwines our fingers together. I look at him but he doesn't look at me.

This is so confusing. One day Adam is holding my hand and acting like we're a couple and then the next moment he's making out with some random girl! Ugh why is he being like this!?

Adam whispers- hey Kk are you okay? You look mad.
Keegan- no I'm fine. I'm not mad. Why you ask?
Adam- because I worry about you...a lot.
I don't say anything. I just stare into his eyes. They look like they're glowing. He was leaning in closer....until............
Alyssa- ooh! This is my favorite part!
........until Alyssa said something which I'm glad she did. Adam backed away but didn't let go of my hand. After the movie ended I realized that Alyssa had fallen asleep. I picked her up and Adam led me to her room. I sat her down and covered her up. Adam and I walked out.
Adam- goodnight Kk.
Keegan- Adam wait.
He turned around and walked closer to me.
Keegan- earlier when we first started to watch the movie when you asked me if I was okay were you about to um k-ki-kiss me?
He stared at me for a few moments.
Adam- I...um........
He stopped staring at me and looked at the ground and then back up at me and then he just....just walked away. He slammed his bedroom door. What did I do to make him mad? Whatever. I went back to my room and I fell asleep.
