chapter 15- my dad is getting married

Keegan- ANDY GIVE ME MY MUFFIN BACK!
Andy- nope
He popped out the "p" in nope. Then he started eating MY MUFFIN! I tackle him to the ground and take the muffin out of his hand and take a bite...what? We're family.
Andy- hey!
Keegan- it was mine anyways
Dad- Kids I'm home!
He comes in the living room with...a woman? What the nuggets?
Dad- hey I would like you to meet Sarah...my fiance.
Wait what. Andy and me dropped our jaw and our eyes got wider.
Andy- f-fiance?
Dad- Yeah we're getting married in about two weeks.
My jaw went down to the floor. I mean yeah Sarah was pretty and she had blue eyes and brown hair but the fact that I never even knew my dad was dating someone in the first place makes me MAD!
Sarah- hi I'm Sarah
She puts out her hand and I shake it and then Andy does. We were supposed to tell her our name but we were both speechless.
Dad- that's Keegan and that's Andy.
Sarah- their so big now! Keegan your just as beautiful as your mother.
I'm confused.
Keegan- you knew my mom?
Sarah- Yeah we were really good friends and I haven't seen you guys since you were little toddlers.
Keegan- oh.
Andy- is that why you look familiar?
Before Sarah could answer I got up.
Keegan- dad I'm going to Ember's.
Dad nodded. I went out the door but before I heard them talk.
Dad- sorry she's just not used to it yet.
Sarah- it's ok I understand.
I close the door and walk to Ember's. I didn't feel like driving. I knocked on their door and her dad answered and said she went out on a date with Michael. Great timing ember. I was walking back to my house when I heard Adams voice and I turned around.
Adam- hey! Kee- wait what's wrong?
I just now noticed that I was crying. I wiped away the tears. I'm such a crybaby.
Keegan- n-nothing.
Adam- no there's something wrong tell me.
We were by the park so we sat down by a tree.
Keegan- my dad h-he's getting married.
Adam- why are you upset about it?
Keegan- because my mom she d-died while giving birth to my sister.
Adam- you have a sister?
Keegan- Yeah but she died of cancer.
Adam- I'm sorry Keegan.
He scooted closer to me.
Keegan- one of my mom's best friends her name was Sarah and she is getting married...to my dad. I didn't even know that they were dating and I didn't know that she knew Andy and me since we were babies.
Adams hand held mine and he was squeezing it every once in a while. I was trying my best not to cry.
Adam- it's ok I understand what your going through and you know it's ok to cry.
After he said that I let all of my tears out. Adam removed his hand from mine and wrapped it around my shoulders. I laid my head on his chest. Once I stopped crying I sat up but he didn't let go.
Keegan- thank you.
Adam- no problem Kk.
He winked and I rolled my eyes at him. He's still a cocky jerk. Suddenly I heard a scream...great ember.
Ember- EEEKKK!!! YOU GUYS ARE SO ADORABLE!!
I guess she's back from her date. I tried to scoot away from Adam but his grip got tighter and he had a smirk on his face. We both stood up. Then embers face started to look confused.
Ember- Keegan why were you crying? Did Adam make you cry!!?
I laughed a little and Adam looked scared.
Keegan- no it's just...my dad is getting married to a girl named Sarah and I never knew they were dating and Sarah was my mom's best friend.
Ember came up to me and hugged me and Adam moved his arm out of the way.
Ember- it's ok.
Keegan- thanks.
We stopped hugging and ember looked at Adam. She had a big smile on her face. Uh oh.
Ember- so are you guys like a thing now.
Keegan- NO!
Adam had a big smile in his face too.

What good friends I have.
I say sarcastically in my head while ember and Adam laugh at me.
