Chapter 40- The Last Day

I woke up but Adam wasn't in bed with me. That's weird. I went to go take a shower. After my shower I found some clothes I didn't pick out beside the ones I did pick out and a note. I picked up the note.

I want you to wear this. I know you don't like dressing up but please do this for me. I love you.

I smiled like a goof ball while reading the note. Then I looked over and saw what he picked out for me to wear. It wasn't a dress which I am very thankful for. It was a black skirt that was a little above mid-thigh and a white tank top with lace on the straps. I rolled my eyes and put it on. I brushed my hair and went downstairs. I saw every one else but Adam. I sat down and started eating my eggs Molly made.
Molly- Where's Adam? Didn't he sleep with you last night?
Dad- He what?!
Alyssa and Andy tried to hold in their laugh.
Keegan- Actually I don't know where he is.
Molly- Did he pick out your clothes?
Dad- And he picked out your clothes?!
Andy and Alyssa burst out into laughter.
Keegan- Yeah he left a note saying he picked them for me and told me to wear them but it didn't say where he was.
Molly- Hmmm....well I know he's somewhere.
Dad- Keegan about the sleeping with Adam thing I-
Keegan- Molly may I be excused? I'm done eating.
Molly- Of course.
I put my plate in the sink. I walked out of the kitchen but not before hearing dad talk to Molly.
Dad- Adam slept with her?
Molly- They have did it before.
Dad- Did they do anything else? Like you know...that?
Andy was snickering. Alyssa looked confused.
Molly- No of course not.
I couldn't hear them any more. I was just about to go upstairs when Adam hugged me from behind.
Adam- You look beautiful....and....
Keegan- And?
Adam- You'll slap me if I say it.
Keegan- Just tell me.
Adam- Fine....sexy.
He was right. I slapped him.
Adam- You know most girls would take that as a compliment.
Keegan- Well...to bad.
He laughed at me.
Adam- Ready for our date?
Keegan- uhhh...let me brush my teeth real quick.
I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and then I came back out. I took Adam's hand and we walked out into the drive way. We got into Adam's car.
Keegan- Now can you tell me where we're going?
Adam- Nope.
I sighed in disappointment. Adam smirked. That stupid smirk. He finally stopped the car. We were near the beach. Not the one Ember and Michael were at though. They were in a different state.
Keegan- The beach?
Adam- Yeah....I thought you would like it. Do you?
Keegan- Yeah its beautiful.
Adam- Follow me.
He grabbed my hand and we walked along the beach. Then I saw a long dock with a little...hut I guess you could call it at the end. We walked on the dock. I was admiring the ocean. We went inside the hut. Inside there were chairs and a table with food on it. There were windows on each side of the hut so you can can a good view of the ocean. Adam and I sat down in a chair. We started eating in silence. It was a comfortable silence. After we were done eating Adam stood up and took my hand again so I stood up. He lead me to a couch in a different area of the hut. We sat down on the couch. I put my legs over his. He put one of his hands on my thigh.
Adam- I have something I need to give you.
Keegan- You didn't need to get me anything.
Adam- Yes I did.
He got out a little box from his pocket. He handed it to me.
Keegan- But I didn't get anything for you.
Adam- You don't need to. All I want and need is you.
I smiled at him. I opened the box. Inside there was a shiny gold bracelet. It had a golden heart attached to it. On the heart it said A+K=♡.
Keegan- Thank you so much Adam. I'll keep it forever.
Adam- Here let me put it on you.
I gave him the bracelet and stuck out my hand toward him. He put on the bracelet. I looked at it and then back up at him. I move my legs so I could hug him. He pulls me into his lap.
Adam- Did I tell you how beautiful you look?
I laughed at him.
Keegan- Yes you have but I told you I'm not b-
Adam- Yes you are.
He kissed me and I kissed him back. We pull away slowly to catch our breath.
Adam- Happy Valentine's Day Kk.
I smiled at him and this time I kiss him.

*later on*
We were in the car driving back to the house. Well....Adam's house. I had a great time. After he gave me the bracelet we kissed and played a few board games like chess. I know sounds boring right? Well it's not so boring when your with the one you love. We were at the house now. I saw Andy, Alyssa, Molly, and my dad. They were all standing in the drive way. We got out the car. I went up to my dad.
Dad- Hey Keegan get your stuff it's up in your room. We're about to leave.
Keegan- O-Ok.
I went inside and upstairs to the room that used to be called mine. Adam followed behind me. I turn around.
Adam- Do you really have to go?
He asked it in almost a whisper.
Keegan- Yeah...I do.
He came up to me and hugged me. I hugged him back. We pulled away so we can see each other's faces. Adam slowly leaned in and kissed me. I kissed him back. This time the kiss felt different. It had more passion and felt like he didn't want to let go. I didn't want to let go. We pull away.
Adam- Come on lets go.
We grabbed my stuff and went to the drive way. We put my stuff in my car. Alyssa came up to me. She had tears in her eyes.
Alyssa- I'm gonna miss you.
Keegan- I'm gonna miss you too.
We hugged each other. I hugged Molly next. Then Adam came up to me. He had tears in his eyes too. We hugged each other and then I got into the passenger side of my car and dad was driving. Andy was in the back. Dad started the car and we drove off.
Dad- We're only gonna be thirty minutes away. Your still gonna go to rthe same school too.
Andy- Ok.
I finally let all of my tears out. I didn't make any sniffling noises though. There were just tears falling out if my eyes. I stopped crying after a few minutes. After thirty minutes I grabbed my stuff and stepped up to our new house. Dad was right it was bigger. We all went inside and picked out a room. I sat myself down. I just now realized that I have to sleep on the floor but...I don't have a blanket or a pillow. Just great. My phone rang. I picked it up and answered it. It was Ember.
Keegan- Wait Ember slow down...wait what?! How!? Are you okay? Why...why did you do this....you need picked up? Ok I'll be there.
I went downstairs. I grabbed my jacket, my phone, and my wallet.
Keegan- Dad!
Dad- What?
Keegan- Something happened to Ember. We need to go get her now. It's an emergency.
Dad- Are you being serious? What happened?
Keegan- Yes I'm serious and I'll tell you in the car. Come on we need to go now!
Everyone got the stuff they needed and got back in the car again. We left and started to go out of state to go get Ember and Michael. I hope Ember's okay.
Andy- So what happened? Are they okay?
Keegan- Well....Ember's....
