Farkle's POV

We sit together in the coffee shop, sipping pumpkin spice lattes, because drinking weird coffee somehow makes situations seem funnier.

Maya looks so strange without Riley next to her. She also looks like a gulped down a gallon of lemon juice. Her hair is scrunched up into a high ponytail, and she's frantically scrolling through her phone, looking for text messages from Riley.

"C, E, leave me be, T, F, I, N, D, M, E. What does it mean?!" Lucas cried, slamming his fist on the table.

"The obvious clue is that she wants to disappear in peace...and yet she wants us to find her. But the there is C, E, T. What could it possibly mean?" Maya wondered out loud.

"T, E, C could mean Tech. As far as I know, there are nine universities that specialise in technology. Lucas?"
"Yeah Farkle?"
"Give me your car keys."
----------------------------------
"FARKLE, IF WE WANTED TO DIE, WE WOULD'VE ASKED RILEY'S DEMONS TO DO THAT FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Maya and Lucas screeched, holding on for dear life as I raced down roads and alleys. We'd searched every single University of Technology in New York, and there was no sign of Riley anywhere. Except for a strange guys with bloodshot eyes who claimed that he had seen a girl with purple highlights trying to break into a car.

"What. Are we gonna do?!" Maya growled, as we lounged on the couch in 'Topanga's."

Out of the blue, Lucas shouted, "EUREKA!!" He grabbed his computer from his cerulean backpack, and began to type frantically.

"What is it Ranger Rick?"
"The clues in Highway To Hell!!"

I shook my head sadly. "I already checked Lucas. No anagrams, or acronyms, or spoonerisms or anything."
"No, Farkle, a clue in the title!"

Lucas typed the title into the keyboard, and clicked on a website called Jalopnik.

"Ten worst highways to be on...Interstate 35, Texas! C, E, T!" Maya called out.

"If you translate the letters into numbers, c=3 and e=5! Riley's in Texas!" I announced.

"But how..." Topanga started, before stopping to glare at Cory.

"What's wrong?" I questioned.
Cory sighed, and fiddled his fingers. "In 2016, when Riley was 15, she entered a writing contest. She won...but the awards ceremony was all the way in the next Nevada. It was summer, and she was supposed to be helping Topanga at the law firm. I told Topanga that Riley had migraine, and sent Riley on a plane to Nevada. When she came back, her award was an exclusive travel pass, which meant she could travel anywhere in the world for free, and without booking."

Lucas stood up gingerly, and began to walk out.

"Where are you going Huckleberry?" Maya yelled.

"We're going to find Riley aren't we?" he asked, before exiting the cafe.
