Riley's POV

I couldn't say anything else. My throat seized up, congested with regret.

"I love you," I whisper, and I instantly end the Skype call.

Why did I do it?

Why did I go?

I needed an escape. But all deserters get their just desserts. I didn't leave behind anything. They were with me, and I couldn't make them go away.

Let him.

NO.

You liked it last time.

He is the reason why I jolt and wake up screaming in the middle of the night!

You want him so bad.

Have you even seen the bruises on my legs Demon Riley?

Let him invade your territory.

THIS IS TORTURE.

Let him.

Let him.

Let him.

No, please.

It will end.

Only to happen again!

You cannot elude the fires of Hell.

I don't believe in Hell.

Wrong answer.

Demon Lucas grabbed my neck, and threw me down onto the bed, as if I was a rag doll, waiting to be ripped apart.

Helpless, I flung my thin body at him, hate surging through my veins as I punched his stomach.

With the strength of an ox, he pinned me down onto the bed.

"Let it happen Riley."

"P-Please."

"The pain will only return, why bother avoiding it?"

"Please."

"Take your socks off."

"PLEASE."

"How about-"

"PLEASE!!"

He smashed his lips against mine, and I couldn't resist kissing back.

It was almost like the real Lucas. Except, the real Lucas wouldn't have left scars all over my jaded body.

I shoved Demon Lucas against the wall so that his back was leaning against, and tried to move away. He snatched my wrist, and I saw drops of red rain fall onto the chalky pillows. Our lips connected again, and we faded away into the night.

------------------------------------------------------

It wasn't real.

It never was.

I was still a virgin.

But why did he leave scars?

He had gone when I woke up in the morning, my jawline dotted with red sores. Every single part of my body felt like I'd been in the electric chair, and the new bruises along my legs were turning purple. The sheets were crumpled, and I cried into the pillow.

This was torture.

But I wanted it.
