Maya is six weeks pregnant and Katy is seventeen weeks pregnant.
Well, that happened.
I'm going to be a dad and a grandad.
That makes me feel old!
Jace helps me set up the camera as I position myself for the arrival of the dolphins.
We've been in Hawaii for months, travelling back home for three days before coming back.
The sun has just begun its ascent into the sky, sending forth orange and yellow messengers to colour it. The palm trees litter the backdrop, and I can hear the soft call of the whales, humming through the dawn.
All of sudden, the water splashes, and I whip my head around, only to be greeted by the mischievous antics of Jace, who has somehow fallen into the water.
"Get back here, the dolphins are almost here!"
Jace quickly scrambles up the sand dune, and we wait patiently.
Shadows jump over the horizon line, and my camera flashes eagerly, as dolphins weave through the void between water and air, laughing playfully.
"We can go home after I send these photos in!" I cheer, as we both walk back to the beach house.
Strangely, there's a backpack on the doormat.
We both cautiously sneak around the back of the verandah and gasp.
"Riley?!"
