I stopped to take in the view; the sky was filled with a graceful blend of soft pinks and oranges. I always loved it at this time, the way the sky blended and twisted to form such a beautiful scene.
It had taken me about half a day to get to Staellum but I was nearly there. I just had to surmount one more mountainous hill.
The wind was beginning to blow hard, I shielded by eyes from the dirt being swept up into the current of air.
I was a bit nervous, I wiped my hand on the pants of my all black ensemble for about the fiftieth time. This was my first mission as a Scouter and I was sent out alone. Alone, can you believe it, I don't have any experience or training and the first thing they do is send me out by myself, I mean some people are just crazy.
On the other hand unlike more experienced Scouter I only have to go to the border of Staellum. From there I'm supposed to collect information on unsuspecting wanderers and if I'm lucky I might over hear some searchers.
Even though I didn't have to go inside the thought of going to the border was nerve-wracking. Threatening thoughts began to ravage my brain.
"What if they knew I was coming and set up an ambush, and if I was caught what would they do to me."
A chill went down my spine as the fear of the unknown began to rise up. I knew that this was no time to be getting nervous. I forced it down and took a deep breath
"You can do this...."
I started up the last hill, taking big steps and eye straight ahead.
"...and if I can't I will give them the best fight they ever saw."

It been five hours and the only interesting things I've found out about are that they are running low on supplies and that some guy is having an affair with his wife's best friend. Despite my urge to stay and hear how it ended, I decided to head back. The trip back didn't seem as long as the trip to Staellum. Maybe it was because I knew I was headed home. Well that is the closest thing to home, plus along the way I stopped by a stream that was almost an exact copy of the on in my dreams. Which I stopped having by the way, now I close my eyes and rather than being transported to my wonderland of green and streams, I see nothing but darkness all around.
I reach the border of Reza and there waiting for me was the leader of all the Scouters, Doyen. He had short black hair that perfectly complemented his honey brown skin. Unlike the Clashers he had lean build to go with his perfectly sculpted muscles and on top of it all he still looked pretty young. It was no wonder why all of the women in Reza constantly fawned over him; excluding me of course, the last thing I need right now is to be falling for some guy.
