I've lost count of how many times I've walked up to this big dark brown door but could never have the courage to open it. This was the first time he has ever requested for me. I cleared my throat and knocked on the door. His voice boomed through the wood.

"Come in", He said

I took one last deep breath and opened the door. I had only ever been in the room one other time. A while after we moved here from Saldom my father was voted Commander General, I was given a tour. The room hadn't change a bit, the only difference was that the collection of books that sat on the numerous shelves had tripled. Besides that everything was the same down to the ugly wallpaper that covered the walls. I steadily walked over to the big brown desk that he sat behind.

"You requested me, Da- I mean Commander General", I said.

"Yes, early this morning I got word that two residents from Reza infiltrated Staellum and were caught attempting to escape. It seems as though one died in the process, but the other one has been captured and is now being held in a cell."

He stopped allowing me to all the information to sink in. I nodded and he continued.

"The report is that the suspect is male and around your age, with this in mind we have come to the conclusion that it would be best that you took care of this case," He said.

I looked at him in disbelief; when it came to work my father never did anything without thoroughly thinking it through first so I knew this couldn't be just some joke. He was serious.

"With all due respect, are you sure I'm right for the job," I asked.

He got up and walked out from behind the desk. He took four large steps and put his hand on my shoulder, the way only a father could.

"You have the training, skill, and you know how adolescents think more than anyone around here. I'm positive that you can do it son," His voice softened on the word 'Son'. I couldn't go against him now.

"Okay, I understand, what do I have to do," I asked.

He signed as if what he was about to say carried a crushing burden.

"Though it's against my own will, the majority rules and it has been voted that the intruder will be executed," He said. My stomach somersaulted at the word, but I kept my composure.
