A/N: = Maice POV
I took a tentative step forward trying to get her to understand that I was trying to help. I spoke and took a step forward, she reacted by taking a step back. I tried again but she just repeated her movement.
I could see in her eyes that she was screaming for me to get away but I figured she was just scared. I mean who wouldn't be. I softened my tone as I stretched my hand to her.
"Hey..." I took two steps forward and this time she didn't move. I mentally smiled, maybe she was starting to understand. I took three more step toward her but before I could take a fourth step she swung her leg high at a frightening speed. Luckily I dropped down just enough to feel her foot graze my hair. In the next second she went for my stomach but I dodge it. I was a bit taken aback by the speed of her attacks but didn't let it get to me. unfortunately for me I had a moral compass that didn't allow me to ever attack a girl so I countered with a foot sweep, causing her to lose her balance a little but before I could bounce back up she came at me with an aerial attack and rolled away then instantly jumped to my feet. She took a deep breath as a single bead of sweat began to form above her brow. She charged at me fast sending speedy kicks high and low and left and right. With her intense speed it got harder to block and dodge but I still managed. This was the first time in a long time that I had met someone who could come close to delivering a strike so despite the seriousness I couldn't help but feel a bit excited. It didn't last long though because while I was made unsteady for those two seconds, she maneuvered to my side then made a swift kick to the back of my ankle then my knee. I fell but braced myself with my hands pain shot up my arms from the collision but I ignored it and got back to my feet. I looked to my side but she was gone and before I could turn my head to the front two feet plunged their selves into my stomach. A dull pain laced my abdomen as I grunted. Before I could make a quick recovery her foot lifted high in the air and with the same lighting speed came crashing down into my shoulder. Pain erupted from the spot as I fell to the floor. My head screamed in agony as I layed face down on the wood. I started to see dark spots take over my vision but this wasn't the first time in my life that they made an appearance so I just did what I always did. I chased them away with the power of sheer willpower. Once they were gone and my breathing went back to normal I considered getting up and fighting back but at the last second I decided to remain still and see what happens. There was a moment of silence then she sighed. I could hear the faint sound of her hair swishing again she clothes as she did what I assume to be rolling her shoulders. There was another sound of friction between hair and clothes then there was silence. I knew she was looking up now so this was my chance. In one swift action I grabbed one of her ankles.
"Sorry about this."
I pulled up fast causing her other foot to slip out from under her. A second later, the back of her head hit the hard wood floor and she went unconscious.

I paced the room no sure of what else to do. The girl layed still on the floor where she had dropped. I had waited five minutes before finally approaching her. I checked if there was any blood form the fall and luckily there was none. Next I cut the ropes and positioned her hands at her sides then began my pacing. Every two minutes I would stop and check if she was still breathing. Twenty minutes had passed since she first went unconscious and I was starting to worry. Part of me wanted her to wake up already so we could deal all of this and the other part of me didn't want to find out what she would be like after waking up. I stopped my pacing and looked over to her body lying on the floor. I noticed that her chest wasn't rising and falling as much as it was before and wondered if she was still breathing. I knelt down next to her and positioned my cheek right above her mouth and closed my eyes and waited to feel her breathe against my skin. When I finally felt in I almost sighed in relief. Instead of going back to my pacing I sat next to her allowing my eyes to take in her features. Her hair was a tangled mess of dirty brown swirls which I imagined under normal circumstances would look like bouncy brown curls. She had long lashes and full lips along with a bit of baby fat on her cheeks. Despite all that her face was visibly smear with dirt and filth but I could still tell underneath it all she had smooth skin. She had a slim figure, partly because of the obvious lack of food. From her faced my eyes began to make their way down, from her chin to her neck down to her collar bone then her.... I stopped and looked away, yeah I definitely wasn't that kind of guy. I got up and was about to start pacing again when I was interrupted by a soft whimper. My head snapped back to the girl as she slowly say up with her hand on her forehead and her eyes squeezed tight.
"Ahh... my head is killing me," she mumbled before blinking a couple times to clear her vision. She looked around the room in confusion before her eyes finally fell on me. Her eyes widened as the memory came flooding in. she scrambled to her feet and took a few steps back while glaring at me.
"Y-you weren't really unconscious..." she accused. I just shrugged in response, not moving from where I stood. We stood staring at each other for a moment then she had a sudden realization that her hands were free. She narrowed her eyes at me before she spoke.
"Why did you cut the ropes? Why are you even doing this?"
I couldn't help but smile before I gave my simple response.
"Because I want to help you."
