Savannah's POV

I was sitting in Mackenzie's bedroom, looking around. Her room was really purple and pink, which is quite girly. Her bed was baby pink and had fuzzy stuffed animals on top. She had a white desk with books laying on it.

Mackenzie came in with a bowl of caramel popcorn and handed it to me. She popped one in her mouth, while I took a handful of caramel popcorn and happily munched on it. The snack was so sweet and sugary. The delicious caramel syrup melted in my mouth.

Now, her hair was in a messy bun and she wore some yoga pants, a California t-shirt, and her pink fuzzy slippers. I was basically wearing the same thing, but I had a sweatshirt on.

"It's time to get ready for the party!" she exclaimed.

We were invited to one of Griffin's famous parties and I am forced to go, thanks to Mackenzie.

She plopped on the bed and beamed. "So, have you found anything to wear," she asked, "or have you just been staring in space?"

I tapped a finger on my chin, thoughtfully. Should I just lie to her?

I giggled nervously at her. "Of, course!"

She rolled her eyes. "Sure you did."

Mackenzie skipped over to her closet and rummaged through her clothes.

I have one bit of advice for you: never leave an artist, especially me, alone with make-up nearby.

I did what any good artist would do. I took a light blue eye shadow, from her pink make-up bag, and dabbed my finger on it. I took out my sketchbook and spread my finger, with blue eye shadow, across the page. I did the same with pink and purple eye shadow and admired my beautiful masterpiece of art. The page ended up looking like a beautiful, colorful sunset.

By the time I was done, Mackenzie walked up to me, with a black and white dress. The minute she looked at my artwork, she gasped with terror.

Mackenzie glared at me. "Savannah Grace Winter! Did you just play with my make-up?"

"Maybe..."

She sighed at me, as she laid the dress on the bed. "Don't do that again, Savannah. It's expensive."

"Thank you, Kenzie. Now, let me try on that dress!" I demanded, nicely.

After one hour, we were dressed up to perfection. Mackenzie curled her hair and wore a sparkling dark blue dress. Her make-up was quite bold, if you ask me.

I just remained simple. I straightened my hair and wore a black and white dress. I decided to wear some black Stilleto ankle heeled boots.

Mackenzie squealed at me. "You look stunning and hot!"

I laughed at her and exclaimed. "So do you, Kenzie!"

We headed to the party by limo, courtesy of Winston, my butler.

Mackenzie and I reached Griffin's house and it is quite huge, like a mansion. I didn't know his parents were rich and I can't believe he made me pay for his shirt!

His house was packed with people and lot of cars were parked in the front. The music was so loud, that I'm pretty sure neighbors were complaining.

We reached the steps of the house and I looked around in amazement. The glass doors were wide-open and I stepped inside. The moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by a lot of rowdy dancing teenagers. I looked around for Mackenzie, but couldn't find her anywhere. I guess I lost her in the crowd.

The music was deafening and the house was so crowded, which gave me a huge headache. I made my way through the teenagers and walked outside. It was pretty cold, but I felt at peace. A guy plopped down next to me and chuckled.

"Not enjoying the party?" he asked in a deep, mysterious voice.

I laughed with him. "Not in the slightest."

I turned around to face him and saw his bright blue eyes. The guy had a bottle in his hand and took a sip from it. Oh my goodness! I hope he is not drunk!

The guy looked at me and chuckled. "It's not beer, Savvy. It's soda pop, for your information."

I laughed with him. "Oh! Sorry, I thought I was at one of those stereotypical high school parties."

He rolled his eyes at me. "It could be. I mean my mom is working at the bakery, so no adult supervision."

I gasped at him. "You aren't mommy's little good boy?"

He took a sip of his soda pop and laughed. "Of course, I am! I asked her if I could throw a party."

We both laughed for a while, until it got really awkward and silent. I usually hate when there's a moment of awkwardness.

Suddenly, I felt him touch my cheek and I turned around to face his smile and bright blue eyes. They were so hypnotizing and beautiful. We were both in a trance, not wanting to look away from each other.

"You're very beautiful, tonight," he complimented with a cheeky smile.

I beamed at him and decided to make a joke. "Don't I always?"

He rolled his eyes at me and laughed. "Sure, my sugar angel. You're very sassy too."

I began to involuntarily shiver from the harsh weather. Griffin immediately noticed this and looked worried.

"Do you want to head inside?" he asked, as we stood up.

I sighed at him. "I don't know, it's pretty crowded in there."

He beamed at me. "I know a special place!"

He took my hand and walked me through the crowds of teenagers. It's quite weird how the host of the party isn't actually a part of the party. Griffin could dance and have fun, but he's here with me.

Griffin took me up the stairs and brought me to a spare room. The room was quite bare, except for a few family photos and certificates of accomplishments. There was also a balcony.

We sat on the floor, near the balcony, and gazed at the stars. I saw Griffin staring at me and narrowed my eyes at him. He laughed and looked away, looking up at the starry night sky.

"I visit this room a lot to clear my mind. I get most of my inspiration in this room," he whispered, as he smiled.

I looked at him with wide eyes, full of curiosity. "Inspiration?"

Griffin nodded at me and walked away to get something. He came back with a huge, black case and took out a beautiful object, a violin.

My eyes widened in shock. "You play the violin?"

He grinned at me. "Yes, Savvy, I do."

"Is this how you make girls fall for you?" I asked with curiosity.

"No..."

I quirked an eyebrow at him. "Then, why are you showing me this?"

He rolled his eyes at me. "You'll see, Savvy."

He held the bow of the violin, gingerly. The bow touched the strings, creating a wonderful sound. A slow, romantic song began to play with Griffin playing the violin so beautifully. His hands were so delicate on the strings. I was falling in love with the sound of the violin.

After two minutes, he stopped playing and scooted closer to me.

He looked at me with a sparkle in his eyes. "There's more to me, Savannah. I may seem like the heartless player, who breaks girls' hearts, but I do have a heart. You just have to get to know me, better."

He leaned in closer to me. "My father is a busy man and my mom is too. They work hard to give me money and things, but I don't want any of that," he whispered in my ear, which sent chills through my body. "I'm just a boy, who wants to be loved."

My heart fluttered at his words. Griffin just longed to be loved.

Before I knew it, he kissed my cheek softly and I could have sworn there were fireworks.
