Savannah's POV
Griffin and I walked together, down the marble stairs. As I walked, I thought about his words. "After all, you had me and you always will." What was that supposed to mean?
My thoughts were quickly interrupted, when I realized that we were in the living room. I looked around and saw a black leather couch, a flat-screen tv, a glass coffee table, family photos, and a recliner.
I plopped on the couch, as Griffin flipped through the channels of the tv with a remote control. He chuckled, as he sat beside me on the couch.
I looked up at the tv and my eyes widened in terror. "Dora the Explorer? You have got to be kidding!"
He chuckled, as he turned up the volume. "Anything for you, babe."
I rolled my eyes and looked at the tv screen, which showed Dora asking some question to the audience, as if kids were dumb. "Can you find something else to watch?"
His eyes lit up with excitement. "I found the perfect show for you, Savvy!"
He flipped to another children's channel and the worst show ever appeared on the screen. Griffin scooted closer to me and examined my reaction. My eyes widened in terror, as I saw a red, green, purple, and yellow alien thingy appear on the screen.
The theme song began to play and Griffin sang along. "Tinkey-Winkey! Tipsy! Lala! Poe! Teletubbies! Say hello! Eh-oh!" he belted out and ended the song with a creepy childish laugh.
I winced, as the Baby Sun appeared on the screen and it giggled. Seriously, who lets their children watch this? This shows scares the life out of me and gives me nightmares.
I narrowed my eyes at Griffin, as he softly hummed the theme-song. "Really?" I asked in an irritated voice.
"Yes, Savvy." he said, as a smirk appeared on his face.
"I strongly dislike you."
"You love me and you know it." he said in a cocky manner.
"In your dreams, my little cookie."
"I'm not a cookie," he said quietly and pouted.
Before we could finish our little banter, Mrs. Clarke arrived and came to us with a bright smile. Her hands were full of shopping bags and her hair was a bit messed up.
"Your father is coming, Griffin, so please dress nice," Mrs. Clarke announced.
Griffin had a small smile on his face. "Yes, mother."
Mrs. Clarke ran out of the living room and towards the kitchen. Seconds later, I heard the clatter of plates and water boiling.
Griffin got up and took my hand. "You better change too."
I followed him up the stairs and into a room, that I have not visited before. The room had a maroon colored theme with a king sized bed. There were some red soft chairs, a dark wooden desk, family photos everywhere, and a glass table.
He opened a door, leading to a walk-in closet full of beautiful clothes. He walked in and scanned the dresses, as I waited patiently. I really hope he doesn't pick out something ugly.
After two minutes, he came back with a red lace dress and some black pumps with bows. I looked at the outfit and raised an eyebrow. There was no way he could have picked this out! It is way too beautiful!
"I love it, but why do I have to wear something fancy?" I asked with wide eyes.
"My father is a very sophisticated man and very significant." he said quietly.
I nodded, as I held the dress up. Griffin chuckled and left me alone, in his mother's room. I quickly undressed and changed into the red dress.
I walked around in the room, as I admired the dress. It was such a bright red and the lace looked so delicate. There was a black and gold bow belt too!
Soon, I found a mirror and looked at myself. I looked pretty in it and it fits great. I slipped on the black pumps and ran a hand through my hair.
I heard a knock on the door. "Come, in."
Griffin appeared in the doorway with a snazzy tuxedo on. He looked quite handsome and his hair had a messy, but cute look.
"Let's go, Savvy."
He took my hand and we walked down the stairs together. I glanced at him and saw him staring at me. I raised an eyebrow at him, but he looked away. I wonder what that is about.
We reached the entrance hall and I saw someone, who I did not recognize. His back was faced toward us and it looked like he was talking on the phone. He had dirty blonde hair with some stray gray hairs. I shifted my gaze to Griffin, who was also staring at the stranger. Griffin's hand tightened around mine and I realized, who it was.
That man is his father.
