Savannah's POV
By the time school ended, everyone knew Griffin was taking me to the dance. Let's just say most of the girls acted quite rudely to me and snobby, while the boys sighed at me. I guess they thought I was different, being the only girl who didn't fall for the biggest playboy's charm. I haven't fallen for him yet, which isn't surprising. We don't exactly hate each other, but we are acquaintances.
I headed to the bakery and Griffin greeted me. The bakery was a bit busy and there were little kids licking the sugary icing off their fingers, while the adults sipped their afternoon coffee.
Griffin handed me an apron. "I want you to make a Christmas cake and I want it now!" he barked, as a smirk crept on his face.
I put the apron on and rolled my eyes. "I think you're abusing your power."
He chuckled at me. "Nope." he said and popped the 'p'.
I walked away from him and headed to the counter. I began to bake a very delicious cake. After one hour, I was working on the finishing touches. I held a piping bag of white icing and iced the cake with it. Then, I added a candy snowman and some red and green sprinkles.
I admired my beautiful work of art. The cake looked amazing and probably tasted delicious since the cake was red velvet.
Mrs. Clarke came towards me and beamed. "That's great, honey. I'm going to give this cake to a lovely customer of mine." She walked away and suddenly, Griffin popped out of nowhere.
He grinned mischievously. "Now, time to help me make your favorite desert! Sugar Angels!"
I narrowed my eyes at him. "You really like bossing me around."
He rolled his eyes at me and took me to the kitchen to bake the Sugar Angels. Sugar Angels are sugar cookies, but they are definitely sweeter with a layer of sugar covering the cookie. Plus, they're in the shape of Angels. I absolutely love them and they are so delicious!
He took out a big bag of flour and put his hand inside the bag. He had a handful of flour in his hand and smiled at me.
Before I knew it, he chucked the handful of flour at my face. Then, he poured the rest of the flour on my head. I screamed at him rather loudly, yet Mrs. Clarke did not hear me.
"How dare you, Griffin!" I screamed in his face. I was still a bit shocked from his actions. I didn't expect he would do that to me!
"It's funny. One day, you'll laugh, but not now." he responded and began to chuckle.
I was covered in flour from head to toe. I smiled mischievously to myself. I had a plan and it was for sweet, sweet revenge. I took a nearby bag of flour and poured the contents on Griffin.
His eyes widened in shock. "Savannah! How dare you!" he shouted angrily, as he tried to get rid of the flour.
I laughed at him. He was getting no mercy from me. "Revenge is sweet, my little cookie."
All of a sudden, the door to the kitchen opened and Mrs. Clarke stood in the doorway. She looked at the bag of flour in my hands and then, looked at us. She finally put together the pieces of the puzzle and shouted, "Get changed, now!"
Griffin sighed at her. "Yes, mom."
She nodded at him as she shooed us out of the kitchen. "Don't bother coming back because I can take it from here. Just go home and change."
We headed out of the bakery and walked to Griffin's car in silence. I sat on the passenger side, while Griffin took the drivers seat.
"You better not get any of your flour in my car," he growled at me.
"I can't really help it and we wouldn't be covered in flour, if you hadn't done that awful prank of yours," I snapped at him, "So, this is all of your fault!"
He shook his head at me, as he drove past a red stoplight. He probably didn't even care that he broke the law. "Don't play the blame game, Savvy," he tsked at me, "Plus, you started it. If you weren't being you, I wouldn't have done that."
I rolled my eyes at his remark. "How is being myself a problem! You are the real problem! You think you are the hottest guy on Earth because every single girl, who lays their eyes on you, falls in love with you. Well, you need a reality check! Stop being such an ignorant and cocky jerk because no one likes your attitude!" I ranted at him and I did not regret a single word I said, even if it was rude. He deserved to know the truth.
I looked at him and he said nothing. He looked a bit hurt and I was about to apologize, but we arrived at his house.
"We're here, Savannah," he grumbled and then, stormed off to his house.
I immediately ran after him and into the house. I grabbed his right arm and he stared into my blue eyes. "Listen, I'm sorry for being harsh on you," I responded with a sincere smile, "I guess I was too mad at you and my anger got the best of me. The point is, I'm sorry."
He grinned at me and we walked up the extravagant marble stairs of his house. "I forgive you, Savvy."
We ended up at his bedroom, which was very boyish. The walls were blue and lined with certificates of achievements. There were a bunch of sports trophies on his book shelf and his desk had big books on it. His bed was tidy and dark blue with three pillows on it.
I plopped onto his bed, as I watched him pace around his room. We were still covered in flour and I bet there are flour stains on his bed, now.
"You can take a shower in my parents' bathroom. There should be some white guest robes in there." he said politely.
He led me to an extravagant bathroom. The floors were marble and the sinks look like huge glass bowls. There was also a clean, white tub and a shower.
He walked away from me without saying a word. After two minutes of undressing from my flour-stained clothes, I was feeling the warmth of the hot shower.
