EditedI knock on the Salvatore's door, waiting for Damon to answer. He doesn't answer, making me let out an annoyed groan. "Damon, answer the damn door!" I yell, knocking on the door again.
A few seconds later, the door opens, an annoyed Damon greeting me. "You're loud."
I roll my eyes before walking inside. "I need strawberry ice cream. Do you have any?"
"No?" He responds as I make my way to his fridge. "Why would I have strawberry ice cream? Why do you even need it?"
"Elena and Jeremy ate all of my supply a while ago and I haven't gotten any since!" I let out a groan at the sight of the empty fridge before sitting beside Damon on the couch.
"Maybe they'll be some at Jenna's barbecue," he suggests, making me look up at him.
"How did you know? I haven't asked you yet."
"It was actually my idea," he admits, giving a smug smile. "Jenna went to high school with Mason Lockwood, so I figured a social gathering would be a good way to get to know the guy."
"Does Jenna know you're going to be there? She's not that fond of you."
"I plan on bringing cobbler." Damon shrugs.
I let out a sigh before I move to straddle him. He raises a brow at me as I wrap my arms around his neck. I lean closer, about to kiss him. He gives an eager smile, but that falls when I stop myself from kissing him.
"Wait," I frown, "what are you going to do to Mason?"
"This is not a pleasant surprise, Wildfire."
"Damon."
"I'm going to put silver in him," Damon admits with a smirk.
"And if it doesn't work?" I ask.
"Then it doesn't work." Damon shrugs before pulling me closer.
"No," I argue, "it means he's going to kill you."
Damon scoffs before rolling his eyes. "Please, I can take him down. Seriously have you not seen these bad boys?" He asks while showing his muscles. I can't help but laugh.
"I'm so lucky to have a badass for a boyfriend." I give him a quick kiss, despite his protests for a longer one. "You better get going if you want to make it on time."
"You're not coming? It's at your house."
"Damon, I haven't see her in a bit. I don't think she's going to be that nice next time she sees me."
"Which is why now's the perfect time. Is she really gonna yell at you in front of everyone?"
I give a sarcastic chuckle. "You doubt Jenna's capacity for embarrassment? She'll slaughter me."
"You'll have to face her eventually."
I let out a groan, knowing he's right. "But does it have to be today?" I lean my head against his shoulder.
