Ava's pov.
Jenny and Rudy were now, finally, married. They were coming out of the Church while everyone threw rice.

Jenny was still bombed.

As Jenny and Rudy walked down the steps, I remembered Jenny's veil.

"Her veil." I mumbled, going back into the church.

In the sanctuary, I grabbed the veil and made my way out. The organist came up and I could hear the liquor bottles clinking in her purse.

"Oh hi." I smiled as she smiled back at me. "Jenny forgot her veil. I know she wouldn't want anything to happen to it. She's . . . she's a little out of it." I understated.

The organist gave me a sarcastic smile, along with a sarcastic remark. "Just a little bit."

"Yeah, um, well excuse me. I wanna make sure I see Jenny leave." I said hurriedly. "Good bye." I mumbled as I walked off to the front of the church.

I came to the door of the Church, only to see that Jenny had already left. Everyone was now getting into their cars to head to the reception.

I looked down in dismay. Out on the street the cars began to move out of the way, on their way to enjoy themselves at the reception.

I lifted my head with a sigh and spotted Jake across the street, leaning on his car.

I was very surprised.

Jake sheepishly waved hello, as I looked behind me to see who he was waving at. Realizing that there was no one behind me, I pointed to myself with a questioning look.

Would he really come down to the Church just to see me?

Jake smiled. "Yeah you." I saw him mouth as he jogged over to me.

We met on the steps, both smiling.

"Hi." We said in unison. I didn't know why it was so awkward know when I had all the confidence in the world when I was with him.

There was a long, awkward, pause.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, clutching my wristlet in both hands.

"I heard you were here." Jake smiled, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"You came here for me?" I smirked.

He instantly smirked back. "Is that okay?"

"Yeah, it's okay." I shyly smiled.

"Do you have to go to the reception now?"

I looked down to think. Do I really want to go to the reception? "I'm supposed to."

"Can I call you later?" Jake asked.

"Sure." I said, not really thinking. "I mean, no." I corrected myself.

Jake frowned. "No I can't call you later?"

"Yeah." I said, looking up at him, realizing Jake looked upset. "No, I mean, I'm not going to the reception."

"Oh, great." Jake genuinely smiled.

He motioned to his car, like he was offering me a ride and I accepted. We headed over to his car. As we do, I looked up to see Sam further off who is getting into everyone into her dad's car.

After I made sure Jake wasn't looking, I pointed to Jake with a big smile. Sam gave me a thumbs up as I got into Jake's car. Jake shut my door and then walked around to the drivers side and got in.
