CHAPTER 5

At last! I thought as I stepped outside into the warm breeze as the sun shone down upon my face. Spring had come to an end and summer was here! In just two weeks time it would be time to head off to camp with everybody from the jam (except Mary she was to young still.) I loved going with these guys because on some nights we would stay up extra late with our instruments and play late into the night sitting around the camp fire, or as we liked to call them late night jams! I beamed at the thought of it, three whole weeks or nothing but summer fun.

My mom and I had just come home from the store and we had bought everything I would need for camp like sunscreen, a few new items of clothing and a really cute one piece black swimsuit with a low cut V neck and the sides cut out it also had a small strip of tye dye  rainbow underneath the chest (BEST SWIMSUIT EVER!!!) I couldn't wait! I had also had just dyed my hair a bold violet which would go nicely with the things I had just bought I smiled enjoying the day. So close I thought.

2 WEEKS LATER...

I beamed as my parents drove into camp I bade them goodbye and they gave me the annual be safe and
don't fall in love with any strange boys talk. I laughed and said I would be fine then grabbed my things
and ran off towards the cabin that I would be sharing with Hailey, Katy, Rehannah and Alice. My smile brightened even more when I saw the girls already inside.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Raven!" Said Hailey springing up and grabbing me into a hug.

"Hiya!" Said Katy.

"Oooohhh I love your hair!" Rehannah said.

"Yeah it's really pretty." Said Alice smiling.

Katy nodded in agreement.

"Awww thanks you guys!" I said beaming at all of them in turn I took an extra second for Alice I really was glad that she wasn't mad anymore.

"The boys here yet?" I asked.

Hailey blushed and the others grinned.

"Yup!" Said Katy. "They're down by the lake." She said.

"Cm'on!" Said Rehannah leading the way.

I flung my things down by the last remaining bed and sprinted after them.

"Hey look who we found!" Said Hailey as we approached the boys.

"Hiya!" Said Tommy.

"Sup?" said Cody.

"Hey Raven!" Said Leo.

"Hmm? Oh hi!" Said Jackson tearing his eyes away from Hailey.

I laughed. "Hi you guys!" I said walking over to the water's edge and sitting down next to Leo.

"Hey you changed your hair." He said fingering a purple strand of mine. "It's nice!" He said grinning.

I beamed at him blushing slightly, he usually didn't notice this type of thing. "Awww, thank you!" I said grinning.

"You up for a swim?" He asked tilting his head towards to lake with a grin.

"Always!" I said beaming.
