My One and Only

Chapter 15

CHAPTER 15

Today...Wow. I thought. New years eve, how had the year gone by so quickly?

I was in the checkout line with my mother as we bought supplies for the party tonight, such as snacks and sparkling grape juice. We would be the hostess this year since we had moved into a bigger place back in the summer, and we would be having the jam group over tonight. The party would start about 9:45ish and would end at midnight. It was about 5:00 now so we still had a bit of time to do some cleaning and get everything
ready after dinner.

After we got home and had dinner and such and did a bit of cleaning I sprinted upstairs and changed into something a bit more partyish.

I put on some black sparkly tights with some bright blue shorts overtop, a skin tight neon green T that had silver music notes dancing around on it, my favorite black combat boots and some black fishnet gloves that went to my wrists.

I grinned at my reflection.

For my hair I had used my favorite crimper that turned my normally straight hair into curly beach waves
which suited well with my aqua blue hair. For my makeup I had used a light white shimmer for my eyelids and a sliver glitter along the outline creating a beautiful cat's eye that was simple yet stunning, and lastly for my lips I had once again used my favorite baby lips, finishing off the look.

I smiled pleased with myself and headed back downstairs. I flopped down on the couch and pulled out
my phone. I played candy crush until I was out of lives. I sighed and checked the time, 9:35. I grinned as
just then I heard a doorbell.

"I'll get it!" I called out springing off the couch and swinging the door open.

I was greeted by three smiling boys and their parents.

"Hey." Said Jackson.

"Hiya!" Said Tommy.

"Wow... Um hey Raven." Said Leo his eyes widening as he took in my appearance.

I blushed. "Hi you guys come on in!" I said beaming. "You guys are a bit early so you are the first ones here." I said standing to the side allowing them all to get through.

"Wow Raven you look... Really pretty." Said Leo his face going rather pink.

I blushed. "Thank you." I said tucking a stand of blue hair behind my ear.

"Hey let's start up a game of foosball you guys!" Said Tommy. "Me and Jackson vs. Leo and Raven!" He said.

I exchanged a look with Leo, I raised an eyebrow and he smirked.

"You guys are on!" I said.

"And you're going down!" Said Leo.

"Is that so?" Said Jackson.

"Yeah I wouldn't count on it." Said Tommy.

I grinned at them all, nothing like a little friendly competition to get things going.

We set up as Leo and Tommy on defense and me and Jackson on offence.

My eyes darted across the field with the ball as it was passed around time and time again and several goals were scored. It was close, really close, 9-9 Jackson and Tommy had started off in the lead but me and Leo and caught up to them with the last few goals. The others had arrived in that time so we now had a bit of an audience, watching the game eagerly. I took a breath and popped the ball back out onto the board. It was instantly kicked by Jackson, I caught it with one of my men and kicked it to the other side and Tommy caught it and kicked it over to Leo, Leo made a tremendous save by stopping it just before it entered the goal.
