Chapter 6

CHAPTER 6

"Hey guys who's up for a swim?" Asked Leo.

Choruses of "Me!" and "I am!" rang out throughout the group.

"Race ya!" Leo said grinning slyly at me.

"You're on!" I said grinning back.

We took off like rockets back to our own cabins, I tore open the door and unzipped my luggage grabbing for my swimsuit. I ran out into the girls bathroom and sprinted out just a minute later now wearing my swimsuit with a pair of black guy shorts overtop. I made a quick stop back at the cabin to drop off my clothes then I sprinted back down to the lake. He stood there already in a tight white T shirt and his swim trunks yawning and looking somewhat board.

"What took you so long?" He said smirking at my out of breath state.

I glowered at him. "I'll get you next time!" I said still panting.

We flopped down on the grass as we waited for the others.

"Oh my god you guys took forever!" I said letting out an overly dramatic sigh as they finally joined us, the guys in their swim trunks and the girls in their bikinis.

"Yeah we were just going to go without you slowpokes!" Said Leo letting out the same goofy sigh as mine.

"Well were here now!" Said Alice looking slightly annoyed.

"Yeah let's go already!" Laughed Tommy.

We walked around to the dock that led out into the water. There were no boats out today so it was the perfect time to use it.

"I wonder if it's cold." Mused Hailey.

Jackson grinned mischievously at her. "Only one way to find out!" He said scooping her into his arms then throwing her into the water.

Hailey let out a squeal as she hit the water with a splash getting all of us at least a little bit wet. We all then burst out laughing as she resurfaced with a look of shock.

"Oh I'll get you for that!" She said sending a big splash at him.

Jackson burst out laughing as it hit him square in the chest. "Ok you're on!" He said jumping into the water himself.

I heard Cody jump in pulling Rehannah with him and Tommy let out a "cannonball!" followed by more
laughter. Alice then kinda nudged Leo in the direction of the water, he didn't budge. She tried twice more with
the same result as before. I raised an eyebrow. Wow... I thought. That was no way to push someone into the water, you had to get them when they were least expecting it, like this! I though as I suddenly lunged forward giving him a big shove. His eyes widened as he was sent toppling backwards into the water behind him with a big splash. He resurfaced to see us laughing.

"Raven." He said with a cough. "I'm hurt." He said with a look of real pain on his face.

"What?" I said my eyes widening."Help me!" He coughed reaching out his hand.

"What happened are you ok?" I asked leaning down and taking his hand.

I froze at the look of hurt upon his face turned into a mischievous grin. Oh crap! I thought. I yelped as he
yanked me down into the water with a splash. I resurfaced to see him staring at me still grinning.

"It gets you every time!" He choked.

We then started laughing our heads off all over again.

Several hours later after we had finished swimming we sat around the campfire as we ate our dinner.

"Hey!" Said Tommy though a mouthful of hotdog. "You guys it's been a long day but it's not over yet would any of you be up for a late night jam tonight?" He asked beaming.

He was greeted by cheers of "Oh yeah!" and "Yes!" all around, so after dinner we grabbed our instruments and surrounded the camp fire once more.

"What should we play first?" Asked Katy.

"How about counting stars?" Suggested Tommy.

I beamed as me, Hailey and Alice began to sing the words while everyone else started playing on their
instruments.

As we went back into the course again everyone started playing once more. I looked around at everyone with a glowing smile as I sang and played my guitar. I loved this feeling, it felt like coming home after being gone for so long, it felt like this moment could last forever and ever, it felt... Magical, if heaven dosn't feel like this I don't know what does.

We played for hours, the stars had come out and they shone brightly tonight. I found myself growing sleepy. We decided to watch the stars for a while most of us laid down on the grass to watch the them but Hailey picked up her guitar and started strumming one last song, Jackson picked up on her melody
and joined in they looked at each other and blushed.

"Will you sing?" He asked softly.

"Yes." Said Hailey her eyes aglow.

♪I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years, I will love you for a thousand more, and all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years I will love you for a thousand more.♪

I smiled as I watched them, the way they looked at each other, the way they would just light up whenever they were near one another, the way their eyes sparkled, you could just tell, they were in love.

I laid down on the grass next to Leo as they played and looked into the nights sky. It was beautiful, the way the stars and the moon shone with the light and the scent of a campfire. I watched as a small flash of white danced across the sky, a shooting star.

"Wow." I sighed.

"Make a wish." Said Leo.

I smiled dreamily, the music, my friends, this moment everything was perfect. I closed my eyes and moved closer to him resting my head on his shoulder and made my wish as I slowly drifted off to sleep...
