Chapter 54
Finns pov :
"I'm sorry but Carols dead. " The doctor said. "Excuse me." I said and left the building. I got outside and I felt like I couldn't breath. My chest tightened and the pain rushed through my body and I fell on my knees . Suddenly Rachel ran out after me and came to my aid. "Finn!" She said but I didn't respond. "Finn look at me!" She said. I looked at her with eyes of sadness and without a word she helped me up and sat me down and I cried in her arms.
Rachels pov :
(The next day )
I had Kurt take Finn back home for a while to get some sleep. He looked so shocked when I found him outside like his whole world had fallen apart. How could this happen? What Carol did was really good , giving up her life without a thought just to save Emilys . I am eternally greatful to her. I sat in Emilys hospital room waiting for her to wake up from her nap when a man walked in. "Hi are you Ms.Rachel Berry?" He asked me. "Yes thats me. " I said. "Hello Ms.Berry I am Carol Hudsons lawyer , Lawrence Fisher." He said. "What can I help you with?" I asked him. "Well Mrs.Hudson made a will and I thought we could schedule a time to go over it , is her son Mr.Finn Hudson around?" He asked me. "He's home, he's in shock still none of us knew Carol was giving up her life for Emilys." I said. "Yes I see , well this is for you." He said and handed me an envelope with Finn and I's name on it. "You may read it as well as Finn. " He said. "Thank you." I said. "Good day Ms.Berry and I'm sorry for your lost. " He said and left. I sat there with the letter in my
hand debating whether or not I should open it. I decided to open it and what I found was quite interesting. I came back to the apartment to see Finn. "Hey." I said to Kurt as I walked in . "Hey." He said. "Wheres Finn? " I asked him. "In bed he's been asleep all day." He told me. "Well I spoke with the lawyer." I said. "And?" He asked. "Carol wrote a will and he gave me this for Finn and I." I said. "What is it?" He asked me. "A letter from Carol . That women is amazing." I said. "Are you going to show Finn?" He asked me. "Yeah , he needs to see it." I said and went into the room. I walked into our room to see Finn laying there sleeping. I slowly walked over and said sweetly, "Finn honey wake up." I said. "Whats wrong?" He asked me. "I have something for you." I said. "What?" He asked me. "Its a letter, from your mother." I said. "I don't wanna read it." He said sternly. "I think you should. " I said. "No I don't want too." He said. "Finn listen to me, you need to read this letter it will explain why she did what she did." I said. "I don't want to know Rachel ! Okay I don't want to know!" He yelled. "She saved our daughter Finn! She made a sacrifice for us ! She saved Emily the least you could do is read this letter." I said. "I said no!" He yelled throwing a glass of scotch scaring me. I looked at him and said , "You've been drinking?" I asked. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get violent with you, it was an accident. " He said hopelessly. "Its okay, I'm going to go." I said. I put the letter on the stand and without a glance left .
