I didn't sleep that night. I sat up, mostly crying, and having flashbacks of myself as a teenager.
FLASHBACK

Chapter 1 of Only Human
(Demi's pov)
I heard a splash. one huge drop of blood fell onto the wet pounding floor of my shower. the shower water turned red, then pink, but eventually drained. it's sick to live a life like this. but it's all I've ever known.
End of Flashback
I tried so hard from the day I was born to make sure my daughter always knew she was loved. I never wanted history to repeat itself. She was my first born. The reason my life had changed. She was to innocent for this to happen. I'm wondering what I did to deserve this pain.
Joe
One thing kept running through my mind the whole night. The day my princess was born. The first time I held her in my arms and I knew I'd love her forever. I knew I'd do anything to protect her, and I knew I failed.
When I walked in, the sight I saw was something I'd feared the most. Not with brooklyn, but with Demi. These old familiar feelings of uncontrol and not being able to protect her came back to me.

Chapter 35 of Only Human
(joes pov)
I stared down at Brooklyn. She had Demi's chin, and her cheeks, and my god that smile. I'll admit she did have my dark brown eyes, & she was born with a bull head of dark brown hair. she's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life.
End of Flashback
I'd give anything to just have my little girl back. The funeral was hard, the burial was harder. And the days that followed were the hardest. Haven took it the hardest. Losing a role model, her big sister, someone she longed so much to be like.
Life is not about angels, but it is about hope. We have hope that everything will be okay, and hope that our sweet Brooklyn is watching over us everyday.

Narrator
Joe and Demi stayed married. Demi tried her best to stay positive and strong for Haven. Everyone grieves in their own way though.
Joe sold his buisness for a million dollars and paid for Haven's college. She won a dance scholarship at Julliard.
Haven became a very popular broadway dancer and eventually stared in a New York ballet. Where she was very successful.
