puppy (Calum)

Calum is leaving for tour in a couple days. He tries to tell you not to be upset, but of course you're gonna be upset; you're not gonna see him for 8 months. You know that you're gonna miss him so much.

He's currently at the store, while you're sitting on the couch, on your phone. Family Guy is on, but you aren't really paying much attention. Instead, you're texting Calum, trying to figure out what he meant when he texted to tell you that he had a "surprise" for you. It isn't near your birthday or a holiday, so you don't understand why. You just go along with it.

Eventually, he gets home and tells you to close your eyes. You do just that and put your hands over them. A minute later, something is placed in your lap. Then it moves. "Calum is it alive!?" You demand, moving your hands and opening your eyes. In your lap is a tiny, brown puppy who is ecstatically wagging her tail as she looks up at you. A grin spreads across your face. "Calum, she's perfect!" You exclaim. He smiles. You hug her and she licks your face twice. You giggle a little and put her beside you, getting up to thank and hug Calum.

"I got her so that you aren't really alone when I'm on tour." He explained. "Thank you." You answered, hugging him tightly. "And I figured since she's your puppy, I'll let you pick the stuff for her so, wanna go shopping?" He asks. "Can we take her?" You wonder. "Of course." He replies. "Yay!" You chime, scooping the puny animal into your arms and following Calum to the car.

"I'm gonna name her Jade." You decide. He smiles. "Perfect." He answers and you smile back.
