-Jaime POV-
"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend."
We pressed our lips together and shared our first kiss as a couple. She was finally mine and just mine. I never thought she would be in arms again, kissing me until 3 months ago. She was here and she was all that mattered to me right now. She pulled away and put her head on my shoulder. Her hair smelt like flowers and smoke. It was somehow comforting to me. She sighed and looked at me.
She looked concern which made me feel nervous, "Jaime. I think we shouldn't tell anyone us just yet." I was confused. "Why?"
She stood up and pulled me off the bench. "Because, right now it just isn't the best time to. With the mysterious objects falling from the sky and everyone seemes stressed out. Its just not a good time. Someday we'll tell them or they can find out themselves. Its not what we want to do, but its the right thing. Okay?" I understood what she was saying. It wasn't what i wanted to do but she was right. We needed to keep this to ourselves. For now.
I nodded, "Yeah, I understand." She pressed on her ear where her ear commnicater was and nodded, "Yeah... be right there." She hopped onto her board and signaled for me to follow her, "Lets go. Guardian is telling us we need to meet up at the WatchTower. They got news on the rock."
-Tiffany POV-
Watchtower
Aqualad had us meet at the Watchtower and made us sit in the meeting room, all of us surronding the space rock. The one Jaime and I got from the museum was the correct one. They had returned the other two decoys without problem and told the Smithsodiem Museum why we had taken the space rock. It seemed like they understood or M'ggen helped them understand (if you know what i mean).
Aqualad sat on the main chair and pulled up multiple diagrams of the rock, which appeared on the screens in front of us, "We have found about more about this rock dued to Firestorm's experience when she made physical contact with it." He nodded at me to explain. I told them the exact same thing i had told Robin the day he was trying to find out more about the rock.
"After weeks of research, we have concluded that this isn't a rock, but an egg. A space egg from a plant we have not pin pointed yet. But dued to this engraving, we have an idea where these eggs originated from." He pulled up a diagram of earth, where there were red points in some places. "Those red dots are where all the eggs have landed. We have contacted all military forces protecting those eggs that we will come and receive them. These eggs can be a very dangerous threat to the human race. We will not take chances. For the next couple days, teams of two will go and retrieve the eggs that I assigned for them."
Jaime and I looked at each other, knowing we were already partner up to work together.
"Firestorm and Blue Beetle. Tuesday. Receive two eggs located in England." Aqualad said continuing naming off partners.
I grinned and nodded toward the garden to Jaime. We both headed into the garden toward the holograms of all the fallen heroes.
"So i guess this is where we're going to meet after we get a mission together huh?" I just grinned and proceed what I was going to say, " Sure. I'm just kinda nervous. I know we only have to pick them up and take it back here. But... I don't know." He raised a brow, "You scared?" I turned my head toward him and said defensively, "No! God no I'm not scared of an unhatched egg! We're gonna do this without any problems." He laughed at me and rolled his eyes, "I know. I was just joking. Hopefully... we don't have to run into any windows." I smiled to myself and started at Tula's staute, "Hopefully, love."
-Jaime POV-
"Wait, so you have a last minute buisness trip and your taking dad and Milagro? But leaving me?" I came home to see my parents packing for a week long trip to Austin, pratically already driving out the driveway.
